O.k. I can see where the interior of a B-17 would be time consuming. I got to go through one (definately made for short people & I played havoc climbing in). Definately not a bird for those who hate tight places either. If Oleg & crew can make this flyable, they are the masters .

I was amazed at how small the B-17 was, I was in one too in Florida at Fantasy of Flight Kermit Weeks' place. My hope is that when Oleg does the bombers that he releases them with pilot & bombardier stations if the rest is not done.

I have some more pics. Sort of a virtual tour I guess. Will get them posted soon. I would have had some interior shots of a B-24, but the were working on her & I couldn't get inside.

I was in the same one Bearcat not too long ago. I came away with the same impression. Very tight in there. I liked when you walk through the bombay and they have that WWII footage showing making it look as if your looking at the ground through the bombay doors from thousands of feet up with flak going off below you.

here is a couple more pics. Going thru the bombay was something else (too darned narrow). No way I'd cross that sucker in the air, I hate heights unless I'm enclosed.
