    PS4 Game choppy when loading up, fixed by going to 'create' first

    This has been reported by at least one other (who posted the fix) but not in the support section.

    Loading up PS4 version, game seems very choppy (music skipping, browsing menus choppy, 'friends tracks' section hangs on skulls for 30+ seconds before loading...
    BUT if you go to 'create' first then back out of the editor all seems perfect.

    Is this some 'world loading' bug like we had on Evo?
    Has this only just happened after FW 1,70 patch?
    How many others have the same issue?

    I have this problem too. I reported it here in the support section days ago. I haven't found a workaround for it besides waiting 30 seconds or so to ride out the storm. I went into create once before right away, and the game just had a super hard time loading the editor world for about the same duration the startup choppiness occurs. Couldn't get out to the menu til it settled.

    I am also experiencing this. My workaround was to leave Trials in the main menu for a couple of minutes. I usually turn on my console while I am still doing other stuff anyway. I noticed mostly the menu graphics and responsiveness. Sometimes the menu will not register button pressed while lagging.

    @ps4 players:

    Do you also hear your hard drive skipping at this point? Could also be the BD-drive but it seems like something is up during this stage.

    It has not been getting noticably worse here, and I now think that the 'skipping' drive is just a 'reading' drive. I have sensitive ears.
    @RL, can you acknowledge this bug? Or anyone else with a PS4 for that matter?

    I can confirm this happening with the digital PS4 version, so it doesn't have anything to do with disc reading. All PS4 games are completely installed to the HDD anyway, so even if that was the issue it should go away after that process is done. Like previous posters have said, these issues go away once the game has been running for a little while.
