People recording Trials gameplay on PC, I have a question..

What are you using? I've been trying to use Shadowplay but it is not working. I have it set in 'manual' mode but it won't record. I don't know what the issue is. Anyways, any help/tips please?

I used shadowplay to record a few days ago and I noticed it didn't work the first time I tried (the icon did also not appear in the game). I can't remember anything specific, but I know I was running in windowed mode the last time I tried and I had to close the game and run it in fullscreen, turn shadowplay off/on to make it work. Do you have problems using shadowplay in other games? Maybe i'll try again today to record something to see if I can find where it went wrong/what's causing it.

That's exactly my issue. The icon isn't showing up and nothing is recording. I was also in full screen, can't remember if I tried it in windowed mode.

I'll have to try it in some other games and see if it's just an issue with Trials.

Ahh I figured it out. My problem was that I was starting Shadowplay after I was in-game. I just tried it again, starting Shadowplay first and it worked perfect. Running in fullscreen as well.

I've been using OBS to record replays and twitch streams.

How is the quality? I'm uploading a test video to youtube right now but through watching it in media player beforehand there was some slight stuttering.. It wasn't bad but I'd prefer not to have it if possible. lol

Quality is really customizable, on decoding, resolution and framerate and cpu priority, and most of all bandwith.
Youtube is 30 fps max, so it cuts frames if you recorded at 60 for example.
