[PS4] Sands and Ruins - First Try in Track Making
Hi guys,
this is my first try in building a Trials-track.
You will find the track by searching for "sand and ruins" or "cpt_schland" (PS4-Tag)
If you could give me some tips to improve my track or avoid some problems in other tracks, that would be great

Not a bad first track. I would definitely use the license tests as a guide for what difficulty to tag this as. There are block obstacles that are in the hard license test so it should probably be under hard. There's also two small rocks on the ground nearing the end that if you get stuck with the Roach, there's not much you can do. I had to get the Pit Viper, which doesn't handle the larger jagged rocks that well so I had tons of faults before those two rocks, whereas the Roach I had a 0 fault run until then. Definitely test the track with all bikes you allow. You may have, but might've just been able to get over the obstacle I'm referring to without the issue I did.
Keep creating. I hope to see some good tracks from you in the future.

Thanks for your feedback
Truly, i was struggeling if i should tag my track as a medium or hard track, also i was kind of guessing the times and number of allowed faults for the medals like "uuhm i need 1:30 minutes and 5 faults, so better drivers will need maybe 1:10 minutes and 3 faults". I had really no idea.
It is hard for me to find a good balance between "drive-only"-parts and "climbing"-parts, but I'm still learning with every track I create and every custom track I play
(It's a monster-task to create good looking backgrounds

I'll check your track out. If in doubt with difficulty go with the harder to be safe - people are less likely to rage if it's easier than expected. As far as medal times go if you're unsure be more forgiving and ensure the plat is achievable without guessing. I'm not sure what your riding experience is like, but you'll get better at sorting out difficulty and medal times with experience. When multiplayer is introduced you should be able to get some experienced riders/builders in to help test and provide feedback on your creation before releasing it. Something a lot of us really miss from Evo.
