    Game patch deletes all replays?

    i wanted to look at a replay of my Swamp Crash run on Xbox One and i saw this:



    i last played this track on the evening i first played fusion. (a few hours before official release)
    From what i understand there was a day-1 patch released on release day. (so AFTER i played that track)
    i also checked a couple more tracks that i hadnt played since that day and i got the same error message as in the picture above.

    Will this happen to every replay with every new game patch? im curious.

    This happened in the beta too so I would say yes, unless the patch exclusively deals with UI stuff... Who knows.

    This happens if the console doesn't have time to load the replay, if you click 'Y' to go on the leaderobards and then try click 'Y' again before people's runs come up, it will say that no matter who's run it is I think.

    There was a day one patch to deal with replay syncing. It may be that your run was done BEFORE that patch was applied. Hence it is now unavailable. The patch was done to prevent glitched/crashed replays. At least thats how I understood the patch notes I read.

    Well that patch has worked because I'm yet to see a single glitched broken replay, I'm so happy that they've finally fixed the broken replays I know sometimes it comes up with 'outdated' on the new runs but that's if the game doesn't load it fast enough or something.

    i only saw the error on the runs i did before official release, so before the patch. Havent seen any errors on after patch replays yet.
    Havent seen any broken or glitched replays either so thats pretty awesome.

    Thats how I understand it guys, yes. Part of the day one patch was aimed at preventing glitched replays and ensuring they sync properly. Due to that it meant any replays that people managed to ulpoad BEFORE the patch was applied became outdated. So unless a future patch specifically deals with the replays, they shouldnt be affected by a patch. But if something is done about FMX tricks, then all bets are off! I have no idea what they will decide to do about that, how it would be implemented or what effect it may or may not have onlbs and/or replays!

    But I agree, its awesome that they have been able to address the syncing issue and I havent seen any glitched replays either, which is great work by RL imo.

    I can confirm that patches will not automatically invalidate old replays. The first day patch did, because it fixed bugs that caused the replay synch issues. We are not going to invalidate the replays in future patches unless that is required to fix some super critical issue (not likely to happen).
