Surround sound doesn't seem to work properly

When connecting my PC to my TV via A/V receiver, the surround sound doesn't quite work. Bike (engine) sound sounds very muffled. All the other sounds are crisp, but the muffled bike sounds are pretty awful. Trials Evolution (Gold Edition) didn't have this issue. The bike engine sound in that is very clear and positional. Does the surround not work in Fusion?

    Hello,

Please provide us with such information:
1)The number of speaker you have connected to the AV.
2)The sound configuration you selected in Windows audio panel.
3)The output / input type surround setup uses.

I can confirm this too, the bike sound indeed sounds kinda mashed. Well in any case:

    1. It's a 5.1 system, so 5 speakers and one subwoofer.
    2. 5.1.
    3. I have my PC connected to my A/V receiver with a HDMI and the receiver is connected to my TV with a HDMI.
