    Anyone else here...

At the point of breaking? I have invested a bit of money into the game (shamefully!) as i do like to support one of my favorite games. However it has taken the F2P far over the top - i would of gladly paid 10-20 for a mobile game that gives me the enjoyment trials does. However having to farm items and then luckily landing on them, all whilst trying to upgrade bikes and using fuel just does not sit right.

I am now on " The harder they fall " - basically beating Cassidy for the final time in the refinery. I see someone else on the forum got no luck with max upgrades to the Riptide, so i played ANBA until i got all parts for the Beserker. The Phantom i am a couple pieces off, however that is a speed bike, and the track is quite techy.

Its going to take a flawless run, or many upgrades on the Beserker ( first time round it wouldn't go up one of the slopes ). So upgrades are a must. However to help with coins, ANBA is usually good, however it seems to be the same stupid tracks coming up. And all i have done is slowly beat my own time, time and time again. Its now at a point i cannot beat my own time, i cannot get the coins needed to upgrade unless i sit playing (100k + ) .

Has anyone actually finished this game? I am about to give up, as i refuse to pay anymore into the system, yet to carry on, i have to either play for hours just "grinding" or invest more money. Grinding doesnt appeal to me, and im at the limit for ANBA missions, as the same tracks come up. ( Has anyone see any starter tracks on ANBA? ). I keep playing the slot machine, but even then it will take me quite a while to upgrade the beserker!

Rant over, i just want to know if i am near completion of this game now...

    Thanks.

Hard to say; but it sounds like you are closer than most; I beleive they say there should be 70 tracks overall. Count how many you've seen.... after a certain point the purpose of the game shifts to increasing your rank on the world leaderboards, which would require maxed-out bikes. You know what THAT means... more grinding.

All us rabid/devoted beta-testers cant even reach the Tier3 tracks, so you are farther than us. But its been clear for a while now that this is nothing but a money-sink. So dont throw more good money at it; you WILL NOT get your moneys worth out of anything you put in, IMO. Pick your goals for departure, and dont look back once you've met it.

I think the only reason most of us beta guys are here at this point is because:
    - We are waiting for the bug fixes to see the rest of the tracks,
    - We want to leave the game with a decent score on the leaderboards.
    - When actually riding the bike... the game is implemented well and plays well. So sad the free-to-play aspects just bog this down to where only the most dedicated can stand it.

For the record... I never spent a dime on this. Its the only way to play....however, in terms of time invested... its been a LOT of time.

I don't know how far you are into the game, because I just fly past all the text boxes in this game. Are you past the three quests that require you to get six T4 items in total (two of three T4 items) plus a random item? If so, I'd be happy if you could tell us what's waiting down the road for us. You might also want to take a look at the thread entitled "A feminine touch", I vented my gripe with the system in a quite thoroughly manner there.

And xitooner, what do you mean by "after a certain point the purpose of the game shifts to increasing your rank on the world leaderboards" exactly? I almost finished ANBA, I think. I have beaten the round consisting of 30 opponents and am stuck on the last swamp track that he wants me to "investigate", because my bike was too underpowered to deal with the first obstacle on that one. I've platinum'd every track in HD, Evo as well as scoring a WR here and there in both games, mind you, so it's definitely not me, it's the bike

I am yes, I totally agree with any issue on this - it is just ridiculous.

What swamp level are you on? The quagmire i believe is the last swamp?

I have done all getting items. If you are where i am, basically you beat the turbo guy for the very last time, you then beat Cassidy for the very last time, then i assume Butch, and thats the game finished.... ( i hope! )

Well yes, i know what you mean, i shouldn't of spent the money i have on it - however it just frustrates me that luck is involved. I can ( and have ) tried farming items, and used full tanks spinning that wheel to get nothing that i needed...it became frustrating to the point where i become impatient!

I have played trials since the early days on PC, never missed one, currently platting all the tracks on evo on XOne as we speak. But yes, you are right, it is just a waste of money.

My bikes wont be being maxed out - i am about at my limit with ANBA - i cannot improve my time without upgrades, the same goes for cassidy.

I have 65 tracks open. 67 if i count the two greyed out ones that i am currently awaiting to unlock by beating ANBA. So if and when i beat Cassidy, i will have unlocked the 68th track.

I just want to finish this horrible game now. Its been fun, enjoyable, but turned too much towards either wanting long waiting/playing times, or money. And by long, i mean weeks. I can't say there is anything wrong with say a game that takes weeks / months to finish, as that is good, but thats with constant play, not waiting for your bike to upgrade as you cant complete a level till it has more grip, and don't want to use gems to speed the process up. Its ridiculous.

ANBA missions are a nightmare, I get Mud Flaps every 4 or 5 turns which I'm around 65-70 in the ranks for... I'd love one of the older tracks where I'm ranked in the 10,000's. Thankfully the developers have said that they know it's a problem and they have a much better algorithm coming out in the next patch.

All I am saying is that once you have played/seen all the tracks, then there isnt much reason for the average person to stick around (until there is a new set of tracks added, at any rate). Unless you are one of those types who want to improve your overall score on the global leaderboards. . .that means not JUST getting platinum, but go to every track again and make sure you have done the best that you can do with that bike that is probably now much more upgraded than it was when you did the track the first time...

(I am one of those types)

Yes, some tracks do require significant bike upgrades to do well; Hilltop Ghetto needs a lot of Grip and Acceleration, for instance, and I was hardly able to start it without it.

I have no doubt its not your skill. . .and skill does play a factor. I have seen some very impressive times on the leaderboards from bikes that are not fully upgraded (better times than mine).

i love the game but am getting very aggravated with it at the same time. i grinded like crazy to open the tier 3 tracks and now i feel like it was a huge mistake doing so before upgrading my bikes and completing the anba missions because now i keep getting matched up on the tier 3 tracks against people with fully upgraded riptides. this wouldnt be such a big deal if the tracks didnt cost 10 gas and it cost so much to upgrade the bikes. its annoying when my only two options are in total conflict. I can either keep going for anba which will require me to grind to upgrade bikes or continue with the level 4 part fetch quests which require the same parts needed to upgrade bikes. its just annoying, especially when your gas tank is less than 50 which means you are only getting 4 attempts at the tier 3 tracks.

Yes, I should have upgraded the bikes sooner. Esp. the Mantis. Now I am waiting 48 hrs for an upgrade.... speaking of which...

48 hrs for an upgrade? Or pay ~$2. Come on now. If the game was flawless, maybe it wouldn't bother me as much. But i've seen porch lights on homes in the swamps of Louisiana with less bugs than this game.

48 hours? Still early in the upgrade cycle then. The last level of the Mantis takes way more; 142 hours? 192 hours? I forget. Hey maybe they finally changed this for the better? (it was one of the biggest beta-tester complaints)

Not to mention the money. The last three levels of the Mantis (ie 4 upgrades per level) takes 3 MILLION coins to do. Here are the gory details:

Consider that their highest price ($99) set of coins only gives you 3 million, that clearly shows just how overpriced those in-app purchases are, and how little you get for them. And I suspect the Tier 3 bikes are probably worse.....(I dunno; cant reach it yet).
