I just finished and uploaded my first golf tack in fusion. If you've never played my golf games in evo understand this IS NOT bail golf, you swing a club and hit a ball into a hole. Like I said this I my fist one in fusion and ill most likely make more down the road, so any suggestions on mechanics and/or hole design would be awesome. Its a 9 hole par 3 course made with some mini golf elements like ramps and tubes. Im always open to any ideas for improvement so if you have any let me know.
I also released a long drive event with it just for fun. Check em out.

I've been playing your golf game and it's fun, but infuriating at the same time. I think it would be more forgiving if you were playing on actual terrain instead of hitting to platforms with huge bodies of water around them. (I realize you would probably have to clear out the entire world of its normal cities and such). I guess my main gripe is i want to be able to skillfully improve but because the physics moving the club and the weight i can't seem to consistently hit the distance or direction i want.
Another thing i think might help is making the player turning a little slower and more precise with an arrow or 'shot arc' coming up to help aim better. Fun skill game none the less.
first i just wanna say thanks for feedback im always looking for ways to improve as a builder.Originally Posted by Mentality15 Go to original post
i actually started building this on the ground with terrain mods like i did most my golf games in evo. i quickly ran into a problem with the ball, every once in a while instead of making contact with the ground it would just go right thru and bounce around under ground. the only way i could solve this was to use a bigger ball and scale everything up.
the inconsistent physics thing i think is also a result of using smaller items. it seems that in the trials editor when you get small objects moving fast you start to get inconsistency with the physics. for the most part though if you can swing the club straight back and forward it usually goes straight. i agree though that it does need to be more consistent, if i do make another one im gonna try to scale the ball up and try some different objects for the club face to see if i can get a more reliable ball flight.
some kind of visual cue to show where your aiming is a great idea and something ill definitely try to implement if and when i build another
once again thanks for the comments, i really appreciate it.
