    Fmx score calculation?!

Can someone from RL shed some light on this? Because if you want people to be competitive with fmx, at least we need some information about it.

At least 2 things I would like to now...

    • what does the multiplier do? It doesn't seem to multiply your score with the multiplier number so with what does it multiply then?
    • Do combos of tricks give you extra bonus points too? Like, can 2 tricks can give you a bonus multiplier? Or one trick with just a front flip?

I want to know this because the guy on place 1 on Titan temple does a combo of tricks that multiplies to a ridiculous number and I can't figure out why.

(Going up + Back Flip + Underdog + Going to Hell) with a score of 7.900

    x 12 multiplier + perfect landing

    total: 181.000

the next jump he does one trick

Back going up Flip for 2.600

    x12 multiplier + descent landing

    total 30.660

From what I have gathered, the multiplier will multiply your score at the end of the track. The higher the multiplier the higher the score, but obviously you will need a high score overall and high multiplier to achieve a higher final score if that makes sense..
When you perform your tricks, if you hold it for a certain amount of time you will hear a heart beat and the name of the trick will turn orange. This helps fill up the multiplier meter a lot quicker and that is the most important for getting a good score.
Combination tricks are better than one trick with a flip but only if you hold them each till you hear the heart beat.
Variation is also a factor. If you keep performing the same tricks over and over you will end up getting less points which will stop you getting a better overall score and maybe hurt your multiplier. It helps to know how to perform most of the tricks as you'll get more points for ones you haven't done.
Your multiplier meter drops fast so it's important to combine all of the above to keep your multiplier going and to get it as high as you can.

For tricks, I've noticed the ones where you are upside down, they tend to give more points. Wheelies help keep your combo alive between ramps if you can pull it off. Perfect landings gain you a lot more points too.

I wasn't really fond of the FMX at first, I couldn't get high scores and didn't really understand it which frustrated me. The more I played it the more I learned and got to understand it a bit better as there is nothing to guide you in the game on how it all works. I am no expert but this is all based on my experience and opinion. Don't know if all this will help answer any of your questions but might help somebody else if they wanted to know.

Um, some true information above, but alot of questionable/wrong info as well lol.
Check out my sticky thread for all the current info on FMX.

The most recent discovery with FMX scoring is that after x11 multiplier it actually goes x23 x36 x50. Even though it displays the expected x12 x13 and x14. Weird i know.
Link to the thread in case anyone reading this is hella lazy lol http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...s-FMX-Tutorial

Like I said, I'm not an expert at FMX. I was just going off what I've experienced and what I thought. Although most of the things I pointed out are mentioned in your thread anyway. I completely missed your sticky, I must be blind, but if I had seen it then maybe I would have known better because it has very useful information and tips. Just thought I would answer since nobody else did at the time.

Sounds like a serious calculation bug with multiplier above 10 then, as 11+12=23 , 23+13=36, 36+14=50.
