How do you get past the first obstacle in Mud Cakes? It's driving me crazy. Is it just a scenario where I have to upgrade my grip to be able to get over the top? If I get on top of it I just spin my wheels, but can't for the life of me manage to jump over it.

kinda surprised at this query, but here goes

first off, use the mantis

second, lean back right from the start and gun it at the ramp. you should wheelie into it, when your back tire makes contact with the ramp, lean forward and you will clear the whole thing. if you dont fully clear it, just pop ur back tire on it and bounce over.

if the first obstacle is giving you this much trouble though, best of luck with the big hop off the wheel in the middle. its a doozy

Hey, where is Mud Cakes located? I've never seen it, I think. Is it one of the ANBA tracks, or something?

I hate that there are entire sections of this game I can't play due to bugs....

Yeah, that one is pure suck.

The key is not to get your front wheel TOO high off the ground as you bunny hop from the wheel to the middle platform. You also need to bunny hop from a height ABOVE the platform. Once you bunny hop, you need to lean forward so that you front tire lands first and your back tire is high enough in the air to get on the platform.

It's the Mushroom just after the wheel that I can't get passed, just using the Jackel (one away from the Mantis).

Ugh! Get the Mantis, and upgrade it 2-3 levels. Jackal is weak.

And play against ghosts to see the techniques for getting jump distance.
