It's just very discouraging because I am assuming we are talking months here before we see a fix for Track Central. It's basically impossible at this point for a new track to get ANY recognition whatsoever. Is it really that hard to throw in a 48 Hour Feed? I remember it being done fairly quickly in Evo after we asked for it. This is going to drive thousands and thousands of builders/riders away from Track Central. We already got split up with cross-platform and that coupled with it's current condition is just a complete disaster. People who don't have their season passes are still playing the game. They are not missing out on anything at this point. The content you keep mentioning isn't even available yet. Maybe I am way off, but when I first got my game I couldn't redeem my season pass so you know what I did? I played the game...nothing changed. As long as it was fixed before a DLC came out, what the hell do I care? Shifty you know I am a pretty laid back guy and I don't complain a lot (at least I don't think I do) but something needs to be done or we are going to ruin Track Central before it even gets a chance to blossom...And saying it is working as intended? The "Highest Rated Weekly" feed was intended to keep tracks in for multiple weeks?
I have spent COUNTLESS hours playing Track Central and making videos in Evo so I feel like I need to voice my opinion on what is going on right now. There should be people fixing Track Central RIGHT NOW. If they aren't, someone needs to step up to the plate at RedLynx and make it happen before it is too late....
I'm not going to bother proofreading what I just wrote so I hope it all makes sense and isn't just another "complain post"
Love, vladi![]()
It's painful to read through this, with some of you guys being rude and disrespectful it just doesn't reflect well on you.
Chopper makes the best point regarding the limit. But I still side with no limits, because for some people, spamming TC with crap is just how they play the game. That's their right.
I know it sounds stupid, but we don't own the Trials brand like we feel we do.
I see people making claims about the devs not being here and not responding and that's PURE BS. I read through these forums far more than I post and have seen people make those EXACT claims in the same thread where sebbbi is trying to help. Lets remember that game development isn't easy and show some respect. Do we stand with the devs or against them? Make your stance clear with your words.
If you want it to be a better game then help come up with functional and reasonable solutions, not just complaining.
Sorry for the rant.![]()
Without Online Multiplayer or at least the possibility to build and drive Supercross Tracks local with Friends( the few Tracks are boring as hell and just too easy..) I´ve nothing else to do then driving 1-2 TC Tracks(if i can find anything in that mess) or driving the same SP Tracks over and over(again)!
I don´t even have the possibility to gio back to evo cause my 360 is down
i really hope those updates or whatever won´t take too long
damn i need custom supercross no pyrosequencing
Is anyone that is a track builder agree with a limit? I would put my money on it that all track builders would want a limit...
@Shifty - I can understand that you are against limits but you also say you dont build tracks. If you did build a track, put 100 hours into it and found out that it went off the feeds within 10 minutes due to someone uploading 15 tracks of 1 concrete block, im sure you would change your opinion instantly. At the end of evo we had the same problem with ninja checkpoint tracks. I have nothing against ninja or any other type of track (stairs) but when it totally blocks amazing builds from being seen, it is a problem.
Imo I would say 2 releases per 24h is more than enough.
Limiting is not fair. (I'm kind of inclined to agree though)
I still want my suggestion in. The ability to block or hide a builder.
If you see little Johnny uploading 70 versions of the same track you hide him. Then the feed is recreated based on your hides, follows, whatever.
It would take a little work from the user to get their feed right so it's showing what you want, but I think in the long run it's better than limiting people's uploads.
If people know they can be hidden then they might make more of an effort to create better tracks. In an ideal world of course.
I respect your opinion mate but you are a good example of my point.
On Evo you released 2 tracks about 2 years ago. Im not sure you can understand the frustration of seeing a track you have built and spent hours and hours just disappear off the feeds.
But everyone has their opinion...maybe im in the wrong for wanting to make a limit.
Hawt dang. Don't mention my tracks. They sucked.Originally Posted by shakeyclaret Go to original post(And I experienced them dropping like flies for that very reason!)
I understand your frustration, really I do. There must be a better way of dealing with it than limiting uploads though.
Yeah sorry mate. Tbh I was worried you would take offence to what I said, it was not intended, thanksOriginally Posted by geordiedeviant Go to original post
I agree, some sort of compromise has to be made...
shakey you're not wrong for wanting a limit. It's understandable, but I don't think it's the proper solution.
I too considered being able to block users from your feed, but geordie there are thousands of "little Johnnys"
I think 99.99% of people who have made a track (including myself) watched it sink down the feed and disappear.
HOURS AND HOURS of work, lost to a system that needs improvement.
Part of the problem is, the feed looks to be built for a total of maybe a hundred users. But there are hundreds of thousands (maybe less builder-wise).
Visually, the feed showing a single image of our tracks might need to be abandoned, as it takes up a lot of space. A list feed would work so much better, and let's be honest, the pic is nice and/or cool, but hardly relevant to the track itself.
Additionally, we need a better system for us. The forum folk, the community to feel as if our efforts are not wasted.
I notice there is RedLynx Picks and a Uplay picks (or something) and this is maybe too much. The uplay one has already lost my respect for the ONLY track they have in there (on PC) is dumb.
It's a little Johhny track (sorry if anybody here is named Johnny and of a smaller stature). You drive straight for 9 seconds and hit the finish. ...and this is what Uplay likes and promotes?
We need a solution. Capping a limit of even 2 per 24hrs like you suggest shakey would potentially add 60 crap-tracks per month per Johnny. That's a moderate seeming cap, but still not enough.
We need better recognition, by Ubisoft and RedLynx of the quality track creators and I think that the RedLynx Picks and (ughh) the uplay one should be LESS exclusive and more about promoting people who took the time to make what is a great track.
What's that you say? That's just too much work for the guys at Ubi-Lynx? It's that or find another way to fix builders being turned off to building.
Builders leaving means players only having crap-tracks to play... to players leaving.
Maybe we (including RL and Ubi) need to establish something like a Track Builders Union.
Those with wrenches from the past and a great number of forum "apprentices" get their own feed so the people who TAKE BUILDING SERIOUSLY can have a true place to showcase their work.
