    PC performance

is it just me or is there a tone of stuttering/freezing on pc? i was expecting my i7-4770k, gtx780, 16gb of ram and an SSD to just plough through this game but instead i'm getting a lot of stuttering making it really hard to control what i'm doing. it also takes ages to load the bikes in the menu and the GUI itself seems to be slow to respond.

i;ve been watching my systems performance as well and this is what i've noticed:
    CPU - 50%
    GPU - 889mhz ot of 1,224mhz
    FPS - 32 - 58 with v-sync on or off

anyone else having the same problem?

    Hello,
I'm also having the same problem. The beta version was running at 60 frames all the time. With the full version, a track might have been running at 60 frames. I might retry to get a better medal to find that it's now running at 45 frames. Retry to find that it's back up to 60. The bikes are also taking a long time to load. I have a i5-4670, gtx 660, 8gb Ram.

I've played the game more extensively now. I noticed that the recommended GPU is now a GTX 580. It used to be a GTX 560. I lowered my Anti-aliasing to normal and the game plays at 60 frames. The bikes are still taking a long time to load in. I've also noticed that Ambient occlusion resets to off every time I close the game.

I have I7-4700, gtx 780m, 16bg ram and am having the same problem. for select few second spans the game runs smooth. Otherwise it's very choppy and stuttering. it's definitely straining to play through. Hope there is a quick fix as this isn't just the beta anymore......

I cant get a steady 60fps when there's a lot going on in the background which is most of the time on the core maps im even running on lowest settings and dropped the res to 800x600 but still it struggles, I had a simlar issue with evo I thought with the consoles using a pc archetype now that I wouldnt have these problem this time. Im running a 7850 twin frozr with fx 4100 @ 4x3.6ghz with 4gb of ddr3.

    Hello guys,

Thank your for reporting. Please keep doing it and give as many details as possible (video, dxdiag, maps, etc...)

We're investigating it. That's hard to find what is the common points between the different reports because some other players with same kind of hardware can run the game smoothly (and that's what we observed on our side as well). But as you report, there is definitely something wrong here. More people report the problem with details, quicker we'll find the common point and the solution.

    Thank you,

Tell me what you need and I will be happy to provide it. I alt + tabbed out of the game to check battery on my laptop and click back into the game and for some reason it opened back up in window mode. I'm now running it 1920X1080 res on high settings and it's running smoothly. If anything changes I'll post an update

    Having same problem!

I have same problem too! I think the problem is internet. I tried to play the game offline. Game runs fine offline. I had same problem in beta, when i had low internet connection. My specs are: AMD FX-6300, GTX 660 and 8 gb RAM.

yup, thats what i was getting on the first extreme track. went back to it later and it was much better though which was after i made this thread.

might be a good idea to show what i had running at the time and my AV set up because AV can cause these problems from scanning the game while its running. i had firefox open with about 10 tabs in use, realtemp to monitor my CPU, gpuZ to monitor my GPU, task manager to see how much activity, skype and a pixelmon minecraft server for a friend. for my AV i'm using avast free with zonealarm firewall.

personally i don't think its a graphical problem, i'd say its more getting hung up with processing all the stuff on the scene. from what i can tell it tends to spike a bit when moving into areas with a lot more in view. the simpler tracks tend to run smoother then the more complex ones as well.

edit: oh, i'm also using a 32" 1080p tv as a second monitor.
