He did? Must have missed that one. Regardless, I still claim its the Pixies; im stubborn that way. I was thinking Janes addiction, Neds Atomic dustbin, even Bad Religion. Still, if its not the Pixies, I'll be in shock, and a wee bit disappointed.

We have a winner! Well spotted bubka!

Alter Bridge was randomly guessed earlier, but when someone actually posted the Blackbird album artwork, I thought sure it would all fall into place. And then when it was in the list of confirmed no's, I was like, uh oh, someone must have mentioned it and I missed when they did. So that was sort of dangerous for me.

The filter I used to distort the image was Chrome, intentionally suggesting metal, which someone did pick up on -- kudos. The Barani is a 180 and a flip in gymnastics, so if you rotate the image 180 degrees and flip it horizontally, you get this:

All the other things that led you to Alter Bridge -- the guy's name being Flip, seeing the phrase "let it be" in the metallic soup, etc -- were pure coincidence and not intended by my design, anyway. Clearly the universe wanted you guys to figure this out.

I will confirm that the title track from Blackbird is one of four songs in the DLC pack. I'll leave you to debate what the others could be, but of course, you'll know for sure Tuesday.

As usual, we will give the official hint Monday on Facebook, so please be judicious in your advance knowledge. There's a reason I only posted this on the forums.

Thanks for playing along. I hope people enjoyed the chase. I know it was hard, maybe a bit too hard; I will adjust my clues going forward and strive to give you things that are tricky but satisfying to figure out, and ultimately solvable. This week is sort of a calibration week. But I wanted to do something that was a little more in-depth just to see how everybody would react. Everybody worked together and certainly rose to the challenge!

Fun? Not fun? Let me know.

I was actually listening to them driving home last night and was thinking that I'd love at least a 3 pack with Gigantic, Monkey Gone to Heaven, and Wave of Mutilation.
You could literally do a Pixies 20 pack. Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are probably the most "complete" albums ever recorded; despite musical "taste." Not to mention songs like "caribou," "Levitate me", etc.. I always thought " River Euphrates" would be a lot of fun to play. Of course, even Frank black's/black Francis solo stuff is good like "Abstract Plane," "Los Angeles" "Czar" "threshold apprehension":. etc. It's just too much. Then throw in the possibility of the Breeders... the thing with the Pixies is really its timeless music. Kids hear it and think its "new."

That was awesome Dan! I spent more time than I want to admit looking at that freakin' picture and got nothing out of it. Once you showed it spun and flipped and next to the original it's like, "Of course that's what it is!". I'll have to go listen to some Alter Bridge now. Not sure about them but I'm looking forward to more good puzzles and judging by the participation here, so are others.

Hum. I think you guys should give me a little more credit. I posted the answer right before Dan.

It sure made work go by fast today - not that I got anything done because I kept watching this thread.

Not sure I'll be picking up the pack though.

I'm assuming that either Addicted to Pain or Cry of Achilles will make the cut

Also, AB is way above my skill level, but this is a definite buy for me. Can't wait for Nirvana and Biffy Clyro after this! Who knows when, though...
