So, the Xbox One has over 3,000 user created tracks in Track Central. The top rated trials tracks for the week is *supposed* to be made the best ones available on the console but it doesn't appear to work that way. Currently, there are many tracks in this feed with an 85% or lower rating and tracks like the following don't make it into the feed:
Kush Land 604 - "Antarctica" - 95% rating
Cruelty976 - "Prologue - Hall Awaits" - 97% rating
KaliniuS - "They Live 2188" - 94% rating
attila999 - "999: NEW CAGE" - 100% rating
Monstified - "Unauthorized" - 96% rating
ll ManOnFire ll - "Extinction" - 96% rating
ll ManOnFire ll - "Extinction (medium) - 96% rating
It's a travesty when great tracks get buried under the mountain of terrible tracks that clog up the feeds. How can a track with an 82% rating rank higher than a track with a 100% rating?
Yeah I agree that it would be nice to know.
I guess the problem would be if a track is released but only 1 person dl it and gives it a thumbs up it would be 100%, this will never happen though.
Tbh with the amount of time that Evo's TC has been running you would have thought that all the issues would have been fixed for Fusion with regards to the rating system.
It's disappointing cos it makes the good tracks harder to find.
And so it begins. The debate over the rating system...I agree Kal that it looks odd so far, and would really welcome a dev explaining the system they are using to determine 'highest rated'...Originally Posted by XoHAYDNoX Go to original post
edit: will add a question about ratings to my Track Central sticky for the devs: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...-HERE-for-Devs
It seems no different to before to me, apart from there is no 48 hour feed to serve as a bridge between new trials and highest rated of the week. This is really no different to practically every track on evo having a 4 star rating, it's just that in the end you knew who the good builders were and also had a FL with plenty of people who would play and rate tracks. This time, there is neither, because the community is split 3 ways, and nothing can fix that. The only real way I can see this being sorted is with the golden egg of a cross platform TC.
The main problem that emerged from evo TC was that Joe Public enjoys big explosions and impossible stairs, so tracks like the ones you listed are mainly appreciated by the hardcore fans, which are a minority and not who this game is aimed at.
I thought it was just me, glad someone else thought that too...nearly all seemed to get 4 stars, the awful tracks may have dipped to 3 and the odd ninja or incredible creation got 5...on a scale from 1-5 we never really seemed to get away from a scale of 1 to 1!Originally Posted by emcee Go to original post
Indeed mate, and on top of that, you get people who downrate peoples work out of jealousy, pig headedness, or to improve their own chances of getting high in the feeds. There are too many variables to pin this on any one thing, but as I said, a split community was always going to mean this. I remember my first track on Evo had over 200k downloads, my first track on this had 80 and then vanished, never to be found by anyone unless they look for it.
Ooh I LOVE those tracks, they are so COOL!!! I also love Do Not Move tracks and Throw the Basketball through the Hoop. You can never have too many of these tracks even though they're all the same. I JUST LOVE THEM ALL!!!Originally Posted by emcee Go to original post
