    Im looking to make an elevator in Fusion!

    So i've started to get into creating tracks again. I was active in Trials HD but stooped in Evolution. I have come to a point i'd like to make an elevator but my old ways have been unsuccessful. So I was hoping somebody could give me some pointers or point me in the right direction. A general Youtube search has led to mixed results. Thanks!

    I'll make a short video tonight showing how I do it, unless someone else explains better it in the meantime.

    There's a visual flow chart for this very thing, the flow charts are very useful, check out the thread stickied at the top of this forum section if you haven't already.

    Here's the direct link to the elevator one https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1...mLLvHFOS0/edit

    This is great, thanks for the flowchart whoever put that together!

    Two things I've found,

    1: You can hear the sound of the elevator as soon as you're near enough, without touching the trigger. When you do hit the trigger, it starts as expected until the delay and off kick in.

    How can I make the sound not be heard until the trigger starts it??

    2: On the track i'm playing around with, there's a drop to the elevator (moving object). When the rider lands on it, the object moves under the impact, then becomes stable again and starts to move upwards.

    How can I stop the object moving when landed on? I've tried increasing the mass as that's all I could think of but it's still moving.

    Thanks.

    you can disable the sound and point a sound-event to it
    trigger->sound-event->sound

    if this is unclear i'l can post up more in detail later

    It's as clear as the flowchart that was provided telling me to put a sound event in, which I've done already (thanks though), but the sound is still on when you arrive at and before hitting the trigger for the event.

    it should be unchecked and then this is what you want (unless im missunderstand something...which is very likely lol)

    DOH!

    Wow I feel silly, I did have enabled checked, unchecked as you suggested now it's working fine.

    Thanks for that!
