Unlike many here on this forum I don't think Fusion is a bad game at all. Yes, it has some framerate issues and tearing, but it isn't that bad. It is still playable and doesn't distract too much. Also, many users say the future theme is everywhere and it doesn't allow for much variation. I think that's not true. I have seen, deserts, caves, cities, jungle, swamps, facilities and other totally different themes.
But there is one thing which is really, really bad - the FMX system!
Instead of using prescripted animations RedLynx used the ragdoll physic to do tricks. This is somehow a nice idea, but it is not precise.
I can't count how many times my rider remained in a weird position and the game didn't recognise the stunt - in that position even the flips doesn't count towards your points.
Or when the rider doesn't go back on his bike properly and you crash although you stopped pushing the right stick two seconds before.
I am a very competitive gamer with high ambitions. That's why I like Trials. I love getting better times and squeeze out these milliseconds. I am not the best, but I got a platinum medal on every track* in HD and Evo. And although I am this die hard competitive, I also like the skill games very much. They are a very nice diversion from the usual Trials.
I think FMX is a nice addition and fun, but sorry RedLynx, you have to admit that the trick system is seriously flawed!
There is no continuity. If and how long it takes to start and stop the tricks is always different. There is way too much luck involved.
In a very competitive game like Trials, where highscores on a leaderboard and precision are everything, such random things like your FMX system, which is not reliable at all shouldn't count towards your medals and global leaderboard rank!!
FMX for challenges are good because you have much time, but when it comes to doing two tricks per jump because you need to fill every little bit of your airtime with points the FMX system fails. Only about 30% of the time I do tricks in a row they work. It is almost impossible to get the rider to do what you want him to do a whole track long.
Please redesign the UI for the next title update. Put the skill games and FMX tracks in a fun section apart from the competitive Trials tracks.

FMX tracks and skill games do not count toward global ranking. Only trials tracks do. This is the same as it was in Trials Evolution.
Medals of FMX tracks and skill games count towards the total medal count. This is also similar to Trials Evolution. In Evolution, the skill game medals counted towards the total medal count and thus also affected the event unlocking.
The UI is different, and that causes confusion.
wile i will admit there does seem to be some glitchy behavior in FMX, 90+% of the time it is completely your fault wether you want to admit it or not.. I could consistently get 150k on the first fmx track every run if i chose to finish it rather then restart. The same as normal trials, their are basic routes and then there is the route that contains every time saver pulled off perfectly. FMX is exactly the same, it requires precision, routing, and practice, with the occasional odd rider behavior being equivelent to "tire glitching".
Certain FMX chains are more appropriate given different jumps and scenarios during the FMX run.
You are most likely either going into FMX with the wrong mindset and or you dont really understand what you are doing in FMX.
As I said FMX has its problems, but just like tire glitching in regular trials (which is also in FMX btw), your rider glitching out and acting strange is usually the result of a specific behavior or approach regardless of it being a bug or not. and likewise with tire glitches, you learn what causes it and you work around it by learning and doing all you can to try and prevent it.
FMX is flawed, but it's there for fun, and I find it strangely fun. It's not flawed enough to get a really good score though, it just might take longer to get a good one. A good way to practice is the skill game 'trick master', it definitely improved my skill at performing them. Having said that though, the plats on fmx tracks are a bit too high, but anywho.

If you go to Garage and go all the way to the right and select "Statistics" and then your XBL/PSN ID, you will see that the medals achieved for difficulty levels in Trials tracks are shown.

However, eventually you have such a high score that you just have to add flips to your moves to get the few extra points. And with these flips the rider spins almost uncontrollably around the bike.
But since FMX tracks doesn't count I think I can live with that.
Thanks for the response of one of the devs and clearing this up for me. But still I think redesigning the UI would be better. When I want to play a skill game I went to the skill game section in Evo and looked for the right game. Now I have to browse through every category to find the one I was looking for.
