It's exactly for the same purpose as in photo editing. If you're making different variations of the track(I'm thinking about the cool track in evo which was different every time) you can use the layers to edit the variations. The layers are only for editing, so they cannot be modified dynamically, but unlike grouping and making things ghost objects (which is very messy), layers can be made completely hidden and locked into place so that even area selector cannot touch certain objects.
Oh, that's pretty nifty. But how can I make a new layer?Originally Posted by mutetus Go to original post
Sounds cool. I'd probably put my physics joints on a separate layer to make them easy to select when they're inside of other objects.
Is there an option to hide all logic tiles specifically, or do you have to remember to be on that specific layer when adding new logic tiles? I'm used to AutoCAD's layer system, where you can set certain object types to always show up on a certain layer, regardless of which layer you currently have active.
You can disable the logic tiles and connectors in the radial menu. You only can't hide the tile's text.Originally Posted by nannerdw Go to original post
