Some times / replays won't be possible to beat, e.g. on Base Invader the trick that gives you less air saves around .7 or something and those runs are too quick for anyone to beat without doing the tricks unless there are other shortcuts somewhere, replays would have to be deleted if the leaderboard doesn't get reset
Maybe a tiny slow-mo effect right at the beginning of the trick that will (of course) slow you/everything down (not the counter) and then again when you land or about to land; it'll look cool and slow you down a bit; I've seen it in other games when you make a special move it goes in slow motion... or something like that...Originally Posted by sebastianaalton Go to original post![]()
Good to hear. With time this can be better than Evo. I'm annoyed I'll probably have to pay extra for that though (editor stuff primarily).
But hey, as long as it reaches that subjective goal of "better than evo", all is good. one step forward two steps back was necessary to have better graphics unfortunately, at least when it comes to objects and effects. The game does look good though even on 360.
Thanks for keeping us updated. It's good that you are able to acknowledge the game's issues in front of your fans.
I think this sounds like a great suggestion. A slight slow-motion effect for everything except the timers whenever you pull off FMX-tricks in Trials races would almost completely fix this issue.Originally Posted by uplay_n2dz Go to original post
Regarding a leaderboards wipe - I don't know much about what goes on inside the game's code but I guess replays are essentially an array of button inputs with time stamps - maybe you could search through all stored replays and delete any that contain data for the right analog stick? This would keep replays that don't use FMX tricks intact.
glad to see some positive comments around these forums and thanks Seb for addressing some of the concerns. So many people are so quick to claim that these guys dont care about the community when I know first hand just how hard they have worked and just how much they have tried to make this the best game the can. I have absolute confidence that this game will be patched and supported and am looking forward to it.
Thank you Seb for letting us know that the development team is concerned about the glitches and wants to improve the game. Thank you!! It is very reassuring to hear from a team member. Ive let go of my pitchfork, and please forgive us loyal enthusiasts of the game for the outbursts of disapproval. Please understand our point of view at release. We were so used to the amazing game that was our beloved Evolution. It was our dream continuation from HD. So upon Fusions release, we all felt quite let down. So many of us put countless hours into playtime. Whether it was posting times or creating tracks for the community. We had such high expectations given what we were all used to. Overall, it is the tightest of communities in the gaming world.. We all felt a connection to our RedLynx team because of the greatness that was Evolution. And that game (whether you realize it or not) developed many personal relationships within the community because of our common love of the game and the achievements in play and our creativity. Our hearts were a bit scarred when getting our first look at Fusion.
As for the new TC format and the confusion it has created, I would ask that this also is a major focus for fixes. I for one do not want to spend the time on creating a track (which is my first love for the game) when it has been more difficult to share and keep track of, on the new TC format. I apologize for the outbursts earlier in other threads. I am simply going to wait to put time into the editor until there is-
1. Some actual videos by our man Cannibal Shogun on some of the new features of the editor. The radial tool is very nice and self explanatory. But the layers tool is still a bit of a mystery as to its use after about 5 hours of studying the editor. Any community help would be greatly appreciated as well. To put "our tools are your tools" in the editor section and to look up the You Tube page to only find the Evo tutorials was very disappointing to myself, and Im very sure, to new editor enthusiasts. For newcomers the editor can be very intimidating. I feel for them. You have the new format audience that does not have the Xbox friends to ask questions.
2. The issues within the editor itself are addressed (as listed elsewhere in the flurry of postings) no need to beat the horse that has been dead since Wednesday.
I now have faith that this will eventually become the proper follow up to the great Evolution, in time. Hopefully, sooner than later. Call the outbursts, the Evolution revolution. We just want a continuation of the RedLynx team's prior excellent works.
Thank You
