I think everyone has freedom to post in this forum, whether he/she plays Trials (still) or not - these forums are public after all. The way I'm coming to understand it (from an outsiders perspective) is some people have a high level of passion for this game, some are probably a little overly passionate (it's pretty much the only game they play) and that reflects in their sentiments and although I don't agree with all the negativity (as a lot of it reads like a broken record), it still needs to be expressed in some level in order to communicate to the developer.

I commend the intentions of the devs to make the game better in the long run.

I think a lot of the negativity has come from a few things really: a lack of communication from RL and some very odd decisions made at a design level, and plethora of issues with various facets of the game (uplay, editor, track central, no mp, tyre glitches). Combine this with some incredibly passionate and devoted players/builders and you have what we have now.

I challenge RL to claim the game wasn't rushed out or in an incomplete form (MP was announced on the box art), but we don't know WHY this happened so will have to be content with their desire to fix/improve things.

What we don't have control over is the design decisions being made. I find it hard to imagine anyone rubber stamping Track Central as fit for purpose, yet it made it into the game in its current form.

It does sadden me to see the amount of players/builders we lost along the way. It is also a shame the Trials Fusion wishlist seemed to achieve so little. I hope the devs find the track central requests to be of use. It's also a shame that "Welcome to the Future" seems to have such negative connotations for many.

Bring on the patch and hopefully we can move forward, it's what we all want.

trials fusion was released on the consoles april 16th, and PC april 24, its almost 2 months now.
And not even a smal patch or update came out.
I agree with everything morrillo just said, we all just want the game we got promished for.
But im sure within time we get the (hopefully) best trials ever

Good posts from Gas and Morrillo. I've done my fair share of moaning, probably over the top at times, but this is mainly due to the passion I feel for this series. No other games have kept me engrossed for the last 5 or so years like HD and Evo did. I sincerely hope updates and DLC can at least bring the game something like up to the standard we would expect of the Trials name.

Im sorry, but if the servers stay the way they are then it doesnt matter if 30 dlc's come out today with all the patches for the game.
There's almost never any connection to Uplay. So whats the point of giving if we cant even use it?
Its more like here is a picture of your car with a description of what it can do, but you can only drive it for a block when we say so.

Fair point. Let's hope Ubi don't release too many games in the next year or so, or failing that, do some serious work with their servers. As Errol Brown once sang, I believe in miracles.

All you guys (the regulars around here) are the ones that built this great community (on the forums and beyond), yet from someone that's new around these parts (or to Trials), they'd "probably" visit here thinking quite the opposite. At the moment it's a "mostly" (not all) negative place with some very loud (passionate) opinions. Not an easy place for newcomers to fit in.

The community will never know the real truth why, it's not our business to know. Let's be realistic, companies don't release that sort of (internal) information not even to their most passionate fans.

Old saying - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I think it's current state is largely to do with UPlay though.

It saddens me more being on PS4 (particularly after being so spoilt in Evo) - as you'd know, there is bugger all quality/talented track builders on there . My hope is the Ubisoft Picks feed is used to port/share some of the tracks from other platforms (even if they are just a hand-picked selection) - much the same way the Track Jam finalists were shared across all. RL feed can remain platform specific, that way there's a differentiation between the two.

Its been like 2 months.... I am done waiting. I moved on to Mario Kart.

This whole Uplay mess is unacceptable. I challenge you guys to search the net for anyone saying anything good about the whole Uplay service. Its so incredibly frustrating. AT best, its just another account to create, another big company that has information about me and shouldn't. Its another password to remember and an inconvenience. At worst its another server that can FAIL and make games unplayable, seemingly anytime Ubi releases a big title.

Why isnt live/psn/steam enough? thankfully nintendo seems to be starting to get their act together.... The rest of the industry is pissing me off.

Yeah I'm not sure what's been up with uPLay. This forum switch was just lame (this forum is super ugly), but as for in-game, I've literally never been able to connect to the Ubisoft servers at the beginning. Every time I play trials fusion, I just press the button to dismiss that sign-in window.

Gameplay-wise, this game reminds me of what happened to Halo. Another company takes charge (in Halo's case, whole new developers), and can't help but ruin numerous things as well as ship an incomplete game.

Also, the whole multiplatform nonsense really butchers competition and custom track possibilities.

Am I the only one who has never had any real trouble connecting to servers? Sure, on occasion it might take longer than supposed to to connect or save a time, but I connect eventually and it has never been a real problem.
I'm not saying I'm a fan of the whole uPlay aspect, just saying that it has never really bothered me. Maybe I'm just lucky.
