Something needs to be done to be able to view all tracks on Track Central, it's ridiculous when good tracks forever get lost amongst the constant crap being uploaded. 'XP for days' is one example. A track that has the finish within 0.016 seconds of the start line. Absolutely tedious having this crap take away from peoples hard work.
There just needs to be a way for people to be able to come across the 'lost' tracks without having to search specifically for the creators' gamertag so that the decent tracks can get the amount of plays they deserve.
Because once they leave the 'top rated' or 'newest' track list, that's it. Gone. With no more plays unless someone searches for your gamertag, which is unlikely.
When you start reading through all of the threads and posts on the forums it can be difficult to find posts that say much more than "This is broken" or "This game is horrible".
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...no
Yeah, there's a lot of those posts, but within them are the reason as to why the game is broken!!!!!!!!!! sigh x over 9000, although kudos, at least this post has some information opposed to the previous pre-scripted one.
Search by difficulty, sort by rating (or whatever your preference is) and voila. Tracks.Originally Posted by s.bywater Go to original post
you dismiss s.bywater's post in a far too nonchalance way here... you dont see the need for a all-new-trackskfeed?Originally Posted by Barrybarfly Go to original post
also you say "sort by rating (or whatever your preference is) and voila" my preference is to sort extreme tracks by date/newest first.... that is not possible
I'd just also like to clarify - I feel alot of tracks don't get the chance to 'make it'. My one and only uploaded track was in the top rated tracks for 4-5 days albeit not right at the top, but it was still there! It's got just over 1,000 plays, 600+ likes, and just over 100 dislikes. But now it's fallen into the pit never to be seen again. Kush Land even messaged me to say my track looked great!
Alright, people like him deserve their spot on the top rated because of the quality of his tracks and people around here know he's a good track maker, so he and the other 'popular' ones are always going to get a lot of plays on their tracks.
But for the rest of us, no matter how good our tracks become, and I'm not just talking about my track because I've played a few that deserve more than the less than 100 plays that they had... So the point I'm making is with the current search tools and filters, no one is ever really going to find or even think about playing these tracks. Everyone will be heading straight to the 'top rated' and playing 'possible stairs' that any one could make within 10 minutes. So once decent tracks that have took a while to make, drop out of the 'newest' tracks list, they're pretty much doomed to never be played again. I've seen a track called 'XP for days' literally a start and finish right next to each other get more plays and + votes over some tracks that seemed like a lot of effort went into them. Because as I first stated, no one is ever going to go out and search for these tracks if they're not in the top rated, nevermind actually play them. I'm fairly sure of that.
^This. Track Central, along with multiplayer are the most used features in Trials but they are not a high priority?! That's hard to understand...Originally Posted by vladiiiiiiii Go to original post
You misunderstand, I'm not attempting to dismiss his post or opinion, simply tryiong to provide him with the info to find more tracks. It seemed he was unaware of some of the search options available and so I was attempting to quickly post up the inifo for him. I actually only found out today how to sort a search by ratings tbh, so I was just passing that along.Originally Posted by fleskeknoke Go to original post
I'm sure TC will see more changes in Fusion than we did in Evo and for those who dont recall, TC was given several new/adjusted feeds to improve it based on user feedback. So I'm confident it will become more in line with what people would like given time.
Apologies to s.bywater if he felt like I was attempting to dismiss his post at all. That wasnt the intention at all.
