Is vsync enabled/is there vsync tearing in the PS4 version?

The reason I ask this, is, well, I went for the Xbox One version. The difference between the 900p and 1080p of the PS4 version is completely negligible for this game on a screen the size of mine. Which is still a wonderful 42" Panasonic anyway.

The devs said they went for 900p so they could keep 60fps. Fine by me. And it does so. There is, however, vsync tearing. Especially in certain areas with fog or when you drive through some water. Even in areas where there was none before you used a retry it appears (maybe because of ghost data now being there or something, I don't know). There's too much vsync tearing for my liking though. And it isn't something I was expecting to have to put up with in a next gen Trials game.

Having said all that, what's the deal with vsync? Is this something on top of the 900p that the devs have had to compromise on with the Xbox One version or is this the same in the PS4 version as well? If there's no vsync tearing in the PS4 version then I'm thinking I made a mistake getting the Xbox One version. I can deal with 900p over 1080p. Not so much 900p with vsync tearing over 1080p with no vsync tearing.

Anyone here got the PS4 version and knows what I'm talking about?

there is screen tear in a couple of tracks on ps4, along with lots of texture loading issues and flickering objects too. maybe they can patch this stuff? a few reviews picked up on these issues too

The tearing seriously messes with my eyes. So does the sun shining in my eyes in the tracks with the sun. It makes me squint like involuntarily.

I don't know if there is some spec war happening to get people to buy it, but lower that back to 720p if it'll stop all this tearing and mini blind flickering.
I remember when I saw all the explosions in trials hd and it slowed down a bit I always thought that if there were just less explosions it'll run better.

Ugh. So there's no point me getting rid of my Xbox One hard copy then and getting the PS4 digital version if there's still vsync tearing in that as well.

No, the game is poorly optimised, its like they just got the evo engine, did nothing to it, and put It on next gen. The game looks good, but doesn't feel next gen because of all the texture loading issues/

Well it certainly seems that way. The texture loading issues are as bad as they were in the previous game on the 360. Damn shame.
