Concerns with the look of the game / custom tracks / Track Central
First of all, I'm not sure if I can impress myself as the way I want because English is not my native language but I try my best.
As the long time player of Trials Evolution (and little Trials HD) I was eagerly waiting for release of the new game, Fusion. Trials Evolution, which took hundreds of hours of my time creating and playing thousands of tracks was at least in my standard almost the "perfect" game. Creativity and diversity of custom tracks in Evo was amazing. You could see custom-made animals, vehicles, buildings and even dinosaurs etc. all this creative stuff was something I always wanted to see. Clever extreme tracks and ninja tracks were always nice to see. But there was one thing, that sometimes was not "good" - the complexity meter raised pretty quickly after all. I see, that the standards of X360 was not high enough compared to next-gen. So the thing, I waited about Fusion and next-gen was that I could improve the stuff in my maps. Also, The Track Central could have used search option in Evo in order to find some quality tracks. I was tempted to see it get better to Fusion.
Today, at the release date of Fusion I downloaded the Deluxe Edition at the PSN Store for PS4. The first look at the game was great, "this looks amazing" - and it looks, still! I started playing career tracks from the beginning, one by one from beginner to extreme. I liked a lot the first tracks, some pretty epic scenery, awesome moments here and there and I liked the variety of tracks and the environment. After playing roughly one-two hours with a couple pauses, I was able to make my way to the 30% of the career, pretty easily I would say. After all, these were beginner and easy and medium tracks, so no complaints about the difficulty, it sure will raise in the later levels.
But the one thing that bothers me is this: After some time, the tracks will look the same in some way. I don't know if you get me, but these futuristic pieces, stuff, vehicles, buildings, they pretty much set the tune of this game, it's only futuristic and shiny. There are nature tracks that are cool, they work nice. But these cities, every building they all remind me of this generic future thing. Don't get me wrong, it's ok in some parts and it could be really nice if it wasn't ONLY futuristic. I understand it is the theme of Fusion, but does it mean everything else has to be thrown away?
Moving on, I then continued the way to the editor, noticing that the basics and advanced stuff pretty much was the same as in Evolution, which is great in my opinion. I started working on my track and looking around the editor. After some time, my fears became true - 95% of the stuff is that shiny futuristic pieces. Cars, planes, buildings, ramps, blocks, railiings, barrels, everything is same. I like some of the environment stuff (boulders, ice and snow, sand) they are cool, but there's is no "basic" stuff that made Evo so great. Planks etc. Let's say I want to build a custom tree house in Fusion. Can't. Custom dinosaurs that were in Evo. Can't. You get the point. Ok, there's are primitives and these colourful pieces, but it's pretty limited look you can create with those. The point is, it's so much harder to "create" your own objects.
As someone stated at this forum, his fear was that every custom track will eventually look the same no matter what. Someone else stating it's hard to be creative with these tools given to us. I agree with those. They are also my fears. Still, the game is young and the quality tracks are coming, no matter what. At least, I hope so.
I see that developers are conquering the mass of gaming community with Fusion. Speedy medium tracks, huge jumps and new tricks. It seems that the editor stuff given us is so big and huge, it's hard to impossible to create these extreme tracks that require little tuning. The pieces work good with the easy and medium tracks.
I also read the concers of someone about the Track Central. No downloads (?), only Youtube-kind-of layout. Does custom tracks only work online? I don't know yet, but I sure don't hope so. I don't like the way Trials is going, but I hope that future DLCs bring Fusion closer to Evo. Basic stuff, not only futuristic, that's my wish.

Still, I am enjoying this game. Not that much as I have wished, but still enjoying. And I hope I get used to this game, people will find ways to be creative with tracks and that I could at some day enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed with Trials Evolution. Thanks for reading and I hope at least most of you got my point. Btw, my evo nickname was lassekukkonen, if someone remembers ( I don't think many will, though
