Sorry for double post, NSPIV I don't have xbox, where did you find the alphabet thing? Can you share the screen through PC somehow?Originally Posted by NSPIV Go to original post
**EDIT** Okay, I can't focus on my work now. I have to share some stuff real quick and then back to business.
Last year I saw this cool vid from MIT. Visual Microphone. I started thinking maybe we could give ourselves a bit of an audio hint by reversing the spectrograph back into sound. There are a few tools out there, with seemingly limited functionality. Here are some links to sites I found along the way. I opened them in my browser in this order, so the last might be the ticket: SITE 1 SITE 2 SITE 3.
I'm not urging anyone to do this, you have to decide if this is a path you want to take on your own. I just have to release what I'm thinking to help us refine what to listen for because if I don't I can't focus and finish up the project I'm working on. As always be careful and download any programs at your own risk. Thanks for reading.![]()
Okay, thanks. So now, if I wanted to view it myself in game, what steps would I have to do to access it? MOSTLY "for the record" and such...
...but here's my thoughts so far:
Usual disclaimer, I could be WAY off. I figured it might be an anagram. A lengthy one at that. But what are the odds that an anagram sentence or phrase would have all the letters of the alphabet? Perhaps it was beefed up with the old "A quick brown fox..." phrase to ensure it looked better, or more complete.... to "flesh out" the alphabet. When I discovered that the "quick brown fox" is commonly used in cryptography I figured I just might be on to something. Still uncertain. I wrote all the letters down and then removed all of the "brown dog lazy fence (yeah I'm getting tired here)" letters and now I just have to see if I can make sense of that. All the while thinking of how I still need to FINISH THE NEW DLC...sigh. Perhaps tonight.
Hey everyone, I still lurk just don't post or contribute that much.. but this stuff gets me excited again.. I don't have good hearing, I was just lucky enough to download the MP3 of that song and had it on my phone on the way to work, with headphones on. I'd always suggest using headphones to listen for clues. I already feel out of the loop on this but want to help if I can, if anyone can give me a quick run down let me know, otherwise I'll read the last few pages and try to make sense of it.Originally Posted by IFTHISTHENTHAT Go to original post
If anyone needs video or audio recorded, screen shots or photoshop/video stuff to assist just let me know. I'll always lend a hand if you need something. Perhaps just reach out to me on twitter or FB (@UniOfTrials or universityof.Trials I think)
^ Always so humble Professor. I wonder how you managed to hear me mention your name from the other side of the planet?!
Jokes aside, these riddle threads are always a pain to navigate. The last couple pages probably have the bulk of whatever's new. Seems the base game had ONE spectrograph in the credits and that's it. Everything else is just a hint of a maybe here and a whisper of a possibility there. Quite a bit of potential, but nothing solid enough for me to really grasp. Except lately. Now we KNOW we have something and that all seems to have happened in the last 24-48 hours.
*edit* i did the reverse spectra thing. gimme some time to sort out what i heard. i think we missed something a long ways back...
I found some letters while playing around in replaymode on The Void. I will do some screenshots today and show you what i mean.Originally Posted by p_a_d Go to original post
JONGIE :
The red letters I found, there was an 'R' missing, this one has the 'T' missing... This is most probably a pattern. We need to find all of them and it will make a word or a clue/hint or something!
Dam this stuff is so exciting :P
Don't you think it's a bit too much of a coincidence that there are 2 words made from big red letters on different tracks, both with 1 letter missing from each?
p.s. if anyone is interested I found the 'redlynx' with the 'R' missing on deep freeze. so as of now we have 'R' and 'T' ... so we need to find the rest of the letters to give us the clue!happy days. does anyone want to hop into an xbox party or skype or something and search together? :P
