It's posted 2 posts above yours in the same thread, doesn't make a lot of sense to repost it. And no, it doesn't work like Evo, because it had no FMX, pretty clear difference. even if you post it twice.

The post I quoted is from a Dev that states the leaderboard only counts Trials tracks... not FMX or skill games. Therefore, the leaderboard functions the same as Evo. Can you verify that is false?

Global leaderboard works just like in Trials Evolution, it only counts "trials" tracks. I don't see what's the problem here. In Trials Evolution you also got bronze/silver/gold medals from skill games and that helped you to unlock stuff. It's only a visual difference (you don't need to change to different menu screen in order to play the skill games / FMX). The game works exactly like Trials Evolution.

To platinum event groups I have to play and platinum medal skill and fmx events.
I don't like this.

one problem was that I couldn't find an answer about the global rank until you posted here in this thread. the answers I was getting around the net were all pretty vague. thanks for clearing that up though. I appreciate the answer.

the other problem is partially cosmetic. I don't enjoy the skill games very much, never have since HD. now they are all lumped in with regular Trials mode tracks and im probably not alone in finding that annoying. as long as I can just do the bare minimum in playing the extra track/skill modes so I can get to TRIALS tracks then it's something I can live with, but im not in love with the new layout. I feel like the different modes should have remained separate like in HD and EVO.

that's another issue. I doubt I will ever plat the skill games, and may not do so for the fmx tracks unless I wind up really liking them. I have never even attempted to do so for 95% of any of the skill games in HD or EVO and I didn't intend on doing so now.

maybe this is just another aesthetic point, unless there are achievements tied to getting platinum on all difficulties (in which case im going to be highly annoyed with the choice to lump skill/fmx tracks in with TRIALS tracks), but Im really not happy about this.

and really, what was the point? these modes were always separate, why combine them all into one big mode now?
