I cant take any reviews above 5/10 seriously, this game was a complete disaster. In future Redlynx should actually test their content before they release it....
No multiplayer, FMXploits and an awful TC... idk what they were thinking.
But its okay, i look forward to all the 'FREE' future patches and dlc packages.
Trials is a game with depth that most of these people don't understand, therefore their reviews mean absolutely nothing to me.
The lack of content and technical issues are enough to keep it from an 8 or higher.
It's funny how all these problems plague the game, and the developers have said nothing about it. But, now they're posting these broken reviews like a figurative way of saying "see the game isn't broken and unfinished".
No, his post shows a care for Trials, of which none of you understand. This rushed, bugged half-game is an embarrassment to its predecessors.Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post
Ohhhh he got a high number from people who played the game for an hour! Yaaay!
What matters is what the people who have days of play time on Trials think. As someone with 65+ days, this game is an embarrassment to the series.
It seems fairly safe to say that Fusion isnt going to get as good a review as Evo did, but its probably going to be rated okay (75-85/100), from what I can see from the reviews.
Its still early, but the only reviews that are going to be in the 60% or lower category are going to be from the few reviewers who actually play EVO, or compare it to EVO. Most reviewers tend to approach their reviews from a "first-time newcomer" perspective. . .and in that point of view Fusion should comes across pretty nice (it certainly visually impressive, for instance). Most reviewers arent going to detect a lot of the things that have everyone on these forums incensed at the moment.
That point of view may not sit well with the more irate people here; the "I cant take any reviews above 5/10 seriously, this game was a complete disaster" comment is probably a nice synopsis of the overall feeling. But its the way the world works. Hope you guys can keep that in mind.....you cant throw out reviews just because they dont agree with YOUR point of view. Dont be surprised if the world doesnt revolt. . .
I'm not condoning FR_Dam143's response in any way so I hope you don't think from this post that I am. However, considering the sheer number of comments posted about Trials Fusion since its launch a couple of days ago, the majority of which are generally unfavourable, I'd say Ubi-Mush's comment could also be deemed as 'trying to provoke a reaction" as you put it. Innocuous as it may initially look, when put into the context that it has been posted amongst a sea of generally angry fan comments and is mainly going to be read by what is currently a largely disgruntled fan base then it sticks out like a sore thumb and you can hardly be surprised when it provokes the kind of reaction that you are quite rightly trying to keep from being written on this forum.Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post
If Forum Managers want to avoid these kind of responses from being written then maybe they should refrain from posting things that will almost certainly invite them, even more so at a time when there are so many forum members looking to take out their current frustrations on anyone even remotely connected to the game.
Read this...amazing

My favorite parts, compared to what you hear on the forums:Originally Posted by shakeyclaret Go to original post

The inclusion of tricks doesn’t impact the game directly, though it does add another layer to score-chasing elements. ......it takes us back to the days of score chasing that the Tony Hawks games used to do so well – though Fusion doesn’t take the idea far enough for it to impact the overall experience. The specific trick events are restricted to the most linear of basic track-types, it’s a shame, because it has the potential to change the way the entire runs are made – but RedLynx is renown for implementing ideas early and carefully iterating upon them"
and....
"As you’d expect, multiplayer is still at the heart of Trials. While head-to-head online play has been removed entirely, same-couch co-op and asynchronous time trial ghosts are back, ensuring you’re never disconnected from how easily your friends are destroying your scores. The lack of online modes does disappoint, especially as the mode never quite felt complete in Evolution. It feels like a step back for RedLynx, who has strived for perfection in almost every other area of the Fusion experience."
Clearly, these reviewers are not speedrunners.
While I personally think half the guys on these forums are total drama queens over their various sacred cows about the game. . . .I still think I prefer the forums for evaluating a game, versus the sugar-coating you get in reviews. In both cases (forums or reviews) you have to wade through a lot of junk to get to the real picture....
I get your point as I hope somehow you get mine too.
I didn't know her at all except that one post, and I was attacking the position of Ubi Forum Manager and the content of the message, not the person behind.
That being said, Internet can be tricky, I'm always under the assumption that it's easier to take something from a random guy like me on the Internet rather than a physical interaction.
My post also was not to be take entirely serisouly, there was definitely exageration and irony in it (you know nothing Jon Snow).
Sorry if you or she is sensitive, I assumed otherwise cuz after all, you must see that stuff pretty often if your job is to manage an internet forum. I'm in the guest services industry myself so I know both sides of the story., And truly I don't think i was being so direspectful. I just said that I would be embarassed it it was me posting this and moved my griefs on Ubi share-holders rather quickly.
So please, don't read too much into the message, she might be your girlfriend or something but, once again, it was not personnal, it was just content and position oriented.
Now, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, especially a lady. So no need to lecture me. or threat me I'm not a jerk in real life and I know how to behave.
Thanks to Xzample for noticing the real intention behind the post which was to express one more time how much I hate what you (your company) and Redlynx choosed to do with something that truly matters to me.
Regarding the reviews, I know for a fact that Ubisoft like most AAA publishers have its connections with lots of reviewers websites. Majority of those having no ethics when it comes to grades and just nurtering a win-win situation : you give me exclusive interviews/previews/invitations to a 5* hotel to try the game and in exchange I'll make sure to not be too demanding about the game when I'll review it.
Independant websites are getting more rare those days, making them easy to identify though.
It's not about some of them taking a casual approach, that's just the tip of the Icerberg.
Truth is much more cynical and has not much to do with videogames.
Don't forget websites mostly make a living through the ads displayed, and those ads usually come from the publisher themselves.

PS : If anyone speaks french and wants to find out more about the "system" between publishers and (some) reviewers, I can share a link to a great roundtable with professionals journalists confronted to those questions. Even Youtubers are part of that game, very few are spared. Ubi is not worst or better than others when it comes to that.
It is coming; the reviewer didn't phrase it well, I think.Originally Posted by ERNIE-7770 Go to original post
