    Fusion editor- very hard to be creative

    I looked at the editor. It has some nifty features that evo would kill for. But all the objects are futuristic, bland, and without character. As I looked through everything at my disposal I just felt all my desire to create just disappear. I LOVED building in evo. I may not have released a heck of a lot of stuff, but I spent a massive amount of time editing. I had ideas for stuff all the time, right when I bought evo. But I'm completely at a loss here, my mind is blank. I don't think I can build anything in this game...

    edit: the base world is also loooooaaaaded with bre built stuff. That's good for the unambitious, but more stuff just gets in the way I think, and hiding all that stuff is a pain.

    That's disappointing. I never made any great tracks in EVO but I did play a lot of created ones. I thought that was the best part of the game.

    Any changes in the terrain mods? I kinda figured it was gonna be difficult finding a good place to start a map with so much stuff in the way.
    I was hoping for a clear all objects button.
    Hopefully the next dlc map will be less cluttered.

    Take an area clear tool, open properties and check base world objects and make the tool big as hell.

    I was thinking this too, I'm upset about it... There's no small items to detail with, and nearly everything that could be used to make a good base theme isn't colorable, it's just confined to white. Also there's nearly no natural objects (logs, planks, beams, ropes) I used these constantly in Evo for making architecture related tracks. I don't see how that's possible here, just too limited.

    Terrain mods are by and large the same as evo.

    I feel the same so far, a lot of the objects are rather plain. I fired the editor up to start building a track last night, but like you said, after looking through the objects I felt no real desire to use many of them. I picked a wicked backdrop in the desert section of the map, made a nice sunset and environment setting were sweet, but when it came to putting objects down everything seemed unnatural. There are some in game tracks that pull off the natural look, but mainly through rocks and terrain mods. It's a different beast, and they obviously had to think of a new theme away from what has been done before, it's just this one doesn't really work for me so far.

    Really? I have lots of track ideas in my head right now, most of them not even regarding the futuristic objects.
    If you are all stuck for ideas take this on board. Imagine if you where creating a track on this game as if the objects present are relative to real life i.e. the art style and shapes... im sure you can make anything out of these objects

    Im not stuck for ideas, I just haven't got the desire to build much with these objects as im not a huge fan on the theme so far. Im sure after messing around and actually spending some time with it i'll get the urge to build, these are just my first thoughts. When evo came out I had never tried the previous editors, and when looking through the objects for the first time I couldn't wait to use them all, and so far with fusion that hasn't felt the same.

    I had worried about this the last couple weeks, the futures pretty sharp and sterile.

    Edit: Oh wow, some ****er's edited my 4yr old Sig now too.
