FMX Tricks Questions and Answers
Hi,
Okay, so I really enjoy the FMX tracks and the trick system, but at first it was a little confusing about how the tricks worked, how they were scored etc...
I'll tell you what I've learned:
1.In general the tricks depend on the angle of the bike.
2.Using the Right stick basically determines where your feet are going. And therefore what trick you'll be doing.
Example:
If I'm level with the ground (i.e. how my bike would be if I was just sitting still on a flat surface) and I push the right stick left, it means that my feet will move to the left and perform whatever trick is associated with those two variables (level bike, and feet to the left) so in this case it would be a Superman.
Example 2:
If I'm rotated clockwise 90 degrees from level (as if I'm going down an ultra steep hill) and I push UP and the right stick, my feet will move up, and I will preform the trick: Going to Hell.
3. When trying to get high scores in FMX, it's better to hold the trick until the name of that trick turns ORANGE from yellow.
Here's where it gets a little more complex.
Ex. 4:
If I'm rotated clockwise 90 degrees from level (as in the previous example) and then I rotate the right stick from LEFT through UP and end at the RIGHT, my rider's feet will follow that same pattern and I will end up performing the trick: Bow (correct me if I'm wrong).
So in summary, if you act like the right stick control's the rider's feet, then it will tend to do what you want.
Now for my questions:
1.When exactly is the bike angle calculated for a trick? In other words, if my bike is rotating clockwise, like I'm doing a front flip, and starting from level I push the Right stick LEFT, BUT by the time my rider is finished moving into position the bike has rotated 90 degrees. Will I do a Superman, or will I do a Coffin? (?- I think that the trick I'd be doing if my bike is 90 degrees and I push LEFT in the Right stick.)
So does the game say, "ok, he's level, and he just pushed the right stick LEFT, no matter where he ends up he will do a Superman" or is it about where I end up?
Sorry, that was very awkward to type in a way that is clear.
2. How is multiplier calculated on FMX tracks? Under what conditions does my multiplier increase? Or decrease? How is it that I can do a few tricks and sometimes the multiplier stays the same (or in other words the timer just resets with how much multiplier I already had before landing a trick)?
3. What exactly are the differences between all the landing categories?
what I know: Perfect: If you land smoothly and keep all momentum.
4.So what's the difference exactly between 'Perfect' and 'Great' and/or 'Great' and 'Good'?
5.Does doing the harder ticks like "Dead body" give you more points? Do you get more point for doing the 'upside down' tricks?
6.How many tricks do you have to put between the same trick?
Example: which of the below sequences would score higher and why?- (this assumes that you jump, do one trick, then dump, do another trick etc... I'm not talking about all in one jump)
A) Superman, Superman, Superman, superman
B)Superman, proud hero, superman, proud hero
C)superman, going to hell, going up, proud hero.
Thanks, I appreciate the time anyone would take to respond greatly!
