I mean no disrespect to RL (in case someone would interpret my post that way, since many people are so sensetive over the internet) but do you think they do this for "you"? It's so WE can help them polish the game, don't make it sound like they do this for fans. It's a company, a (closed/open) beta is for their own benefit. The only thing that is very generous, is the people who help finding bugs and report them.
- support.
I have never compained once about the support. And this is exactly how it should be for a beta, what else would have been the point of even having a beta in the first place if there was no support?
- great percentage of features
I have to disagree on this, hence my initial post. I agree, there is 'alot' of content but no diversity of content. It's just tracks (+fmx system), so the unlocked content is quite repetetive. There are still things as editor, pyrosequence, team tournaments, track central.... And that's what my post was about. More diversity in unlocked content so we can test these things too instead of just riding some beginner/easy/medium tracks....
So yeah..I don't think you really read/understood my posts
This is just a debate on how much content people feel is appropriate for a beta. Everyone has voiced their own opinion on this in perfectly acceptable ways. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion on this and to voice it. I dont feel bassline has said he wont buy the game or that he is hugely disappointed with Rl, simply that he has his own opinions on what he would liked ot have seen from a beta. Geordie, obviously you also have your own opinion on this.
So lets just say that you guys dont agree and look forward to the imminent release of the game when we ALL get FULL access to EVERYTHING!![]()
I have the right to post my opinion on this matter (this is still a Trials forum last I checked), just like RL has the right to do whatever they want. This doesn't make me like the game any less. I just voiced my concerns about the possibility of there being bugs on launch in content that was still locked in the beta. And I just want the game to have a perfect launch.Originally Posted by geordiedeviant Go to original post
And vote with my wallet? What has the price of the game has anything to do with this? I suggest you leave this thread alone and just go troll somewhere else.
You're the one whinging. I'm not trolling at all.Originally Posted by bassline001 Go to original post
OK, I asked politely for you guys to agree to disagree. Now its descending into an argument and I'm telling you that I will delete any further posts that are along similar lines. Feel free to continue to post an opinion on the content of the beta, but kindly refrain from arguing about each others intentions/behaviour or anything else that is not relevant to the thread. Thank you.
Fascist. Point taken Barry.Originally Posted by Barrybarfly Go to original post![]()
You sure you're not employted by Rl? Or completely new to PC gaming?Originally Posted by Barrybarfly Go to original post
You seem to think a beta is the same as a demo. Which is view only devs and unaware people have nowadays.
Funny how only indie devs stick to the good old definition of a beta. A game that's about to be finished but need testing and bug fixing. Every nook and cranny. Leaving things out would just be stupid.
actually beta has 0 meaning anymore, it can be anything from a game that wont see its release date for over a year to a game that is finished but they just didn't say "its out" yet and on release only like a few effects get added, or it can be just a demo few days/weeks before releaseOriginally Posted by WakeyB Go to original post
it can be a buggy unplayable mess or just work perfectly fine
same can be said about alpha's or early acces
hell, devs have even started to invent new terms like "technical alpha"
it might have had a meaning few years ago but not anymore for the consumers
