I'm pretty sure I know which one you are talking about and let me say this, there was a challenge that I attempted and properly rage quit afte about 5-10 mins. DJ does not give out evil laughs for no reasonOriginally Posted by DJ_2wItchY Go to original post
Oops double post. Forgot about the earlier one... it's been that kind of day!
First thing I noticed too. You know what would be amazing....if for everyone the key was located in a completely different hole in the ground. That way you know....it won't be insta-spoiled for everyone all at once on release day and we could have our own little treasure hunt going on.Originally Posted by FatShady Live Go to original post
Looks like I might 100% this on release day if this is in fact the official list.
I cant imagine that it would be in a random place for each game... I would LOVE if that were the case. That would be the best thing ever imo. Can't see it happening although I net ANBA tried. Looking forward to it regardless. May try to avoid spoilers and go searching, but sadly I doubt i'll have time.
Usual fair on release day for me. Gonna go dark from the net completely until I've finished ALL tracks and dabbled around with stuff. Obviously trying to find as many squirrel as possible before going back into spoiler-land. Even then I'll probably just stick to the forums here for a bit as most people are quite sensible with thread topics, spoilers etc.Originally Posted by FatShady Live Go to original post
Oooh. The excitement.Not long now.
Also, in regards to these achievements. I'm saddened that most games probably intended to be an arcade title release with minimal number of cheevs and a full 1000g on next gen (xbox one). Another case in point was Lococycle. That had identical cheevs when it released on XBLA but was restricted to the 400g.
You guys are crazy. I look at it a different way.
The achievements are for those achievement hunters are only care about that silly number next to their gamer tag. Its just a stupid number and the achievement hunters who *****ed and moaned about difficult ones are the reason we never got any truly challenging ones. Now, with this new challenges thing they are doing for each track they are allowed to make some truly challenging achievements for us, the core players, without offending the achievement "achievement hunters". I just hope they really do throw us a true challenge this time, whether its an achievement or challenge or whatever....
Have you played the PC Beta? Some of the unyielding challenges (I think they are called) (basically the hard ones)....some of them are o_O so you might be in luck.Originally Posted by jook13 Go to original post
Pretty much the challenges are the achievements now. Comparing the challenges in this game to Evo's achievements, there is really not that big of a difference. There's of course a different way of doing them, as there are a lot more of them, but I would rather look at the challenges instead of the achievements for the replay value of the game. Not to mention, I bet getting every single challenge in the game will be difficult and will take a lot more time compared to Evo and HD. We have seen less than 50% of the tracks and the challenges they have, so going into conclusions about the full game's potential and if Redlynx has gone lazy in the process isn't really the best thing to do now.
Also FYI, it's not Redlynx who decides the 1000G for the game, it's Microsoft that forces 1000G on all arcade games on the XB1, it will still have 400G on 360 (as if you haven't noticed, the list of achievements are in the XB1 forum). Divide all the G's by 2.5, then you'll get exactly and approximately the amount of gamerscore per achievement you'll get on the 360, aka how it would've been before the change.
I'm pretty sure Redlynx has done a great job in further expanding the replay value and the variety in the Trials series for the 'regular' player with this game, as all we others are going to grab onto Track Central most of the time. I'm staying optimistic.
