    I think there was a misunderstanding here. mutetus isn't a native English speaker, but he does well. What he meant that there are many people that work on Trials that are currently working 60-80 hours a week and that they don't have time to come onto the forums right now. He was not saying that game developers are the only hardworking people in the world.

    Part of me really believes that you already know this, though.

    Was worth a try though.
    I'm sorry you feel that way about our communications, but I am not trying to be dismissive. I am seriously offering to have a discussion with xzamplez about the community side of game development.

    @dumptruck - we can definitely look into setting up a group Skype call if anyone is really interested. The call wouldn't be about specific games, but about the way that community team members work, responsibilities and other information about a largely expanding and fairly high demand field. If this is something that you would be interested in, then please let me know in this tread. Community Management can be a great entry point for people who want to become involved in game development.

    Sorry to sound dramatic; but this has to be an a abuse of power. Some staff member started this thread and labeled me as the thread starter in an attempt to prove me wrong. There is a reason I decided to stop with the "discussion". I did not start this thread.

    I agree with what you're saying WILLYUMZ. I asked the initial question in another thread, with the hopes that I wouldn't get ******** answers that avoid the topic. But hopes didn't make it so.

    EDIT: Didn't read the addition to the OP. Having a discussion about this is fine, but I didn't start the thread. This whole thing was started because I asked for the game developers to answer questions in the Q and A thread. I simply wanted some more of those questions answered by those who are able.

    If anyone truly is curious about what a game developer is; they can look it up.

    I'm interested in learning about the community aspect, but don't have a Skype. Is there another way you may be able to discuss it?

    @Shifty

    I'm definitely in for a group Skype. I'd love to know more about the Red Lynx Developmental Team and what all the processes involved with each role are.

    @Carmine

    Skype is available on so many different platforms from Xbox 1 to a laptop with webcam to an iPad to a cell phone. Chances are you have something that can run Skype, but maybe you just don't know. And on top of it, Skype is free.

    Let me know Shifty when you want to set something up. I'm not sure what the group limit on Skype is, but I know it can handle quite a few at a time.

    The Skype call sounds awesome. Like a job fair. Maybe just make a Google+ Hangout and post it on YouTube afterward. I'd absolutely watch that. That'd be fascinating.

    I'd love to work in the industry, but it seems all there is for video game jobs in the Twin Cities is Activision Blizzard sales & $9/hour testing.

    Sadly I am busy this whole weekend but really do want to do this. I'm set up a Skype account on my laptop and maybe sometime during the week everyone could do it.

    I think that has come around because the Q&A topic was split at your post, making you the defacto poster of the op. I'm not sure if admins have the power to change the poster or not, but I know I havent figured out how to do it yet.

    However, it has been the start of an interesting discussion so I will try and look into it all and see if you can be removed as the op if you wish, or if I can maybe find another solution to your original question. But I make NO promises as I know both the CM's and dev team are both extremely busy working on the forums, game and preperations for PAX East. And yes, I know that may sound like an excuse, but its just the truth! Dealing with me is pretty far down the list of priorities right now I would imagine! lol
