This only works for filling fuel as far as I know. You can do this as many times as you like, seems to work every time!
Yeah, its been said before... and a developer came online here and said that messing with time might trigger some form of anti-cheating logic. (insert scary background music here). You can find th message around here somewhere.... basically. . . do this at your own risk.. Personally, I'd rather just blame the company for the decision to add fuel to begin with, keep my game pristine (its got enough issues without me adding more) and refuse to spend money.

Ditto. This was an excellent summary from there for the average player:

"Had Trials Frontier been available at a premium price, with no restrictions on fun, it would be worth your time. But poor thinking and short-term business models has reduced an acclaimed racer into a cold-blooded coin sink."

Its only us die-hard types who are going to slog through this app. . .and even then I am only really doing it because Fusion isnt out yet.

Its not like RL didnt get advance warning; this forum (ie us beta-testers) have made it clear how WE felt about their freemium approach all along. Of course, I think our primary purpose was as bug-finders, and not as a focus group for their monetization approach. . . . oh well. At this point the public will let them know how it really feels, and history will judge....

C&VG have got it spot on.

In this format, Frontier will not be around for very long at all. Such a shame cos general gameplay is as close to HD & Evo as any other mobile trials game.

Agree: I am pretty much at that stage now. The F2P aspects are now full-on in the way of sensible progression (imo), so I imagine this game will be dead to me once Fusion comes out. Real shame, I would have paid a very healthy price for a self-contained game

Pretty much nailed a summary for me

I wanted a mobile Trials to take off to further expand the community, but not one like this. I'm glad the plethora micro-transactions and timers are mentioned in these reviews.

I hate that some of them say the upgrade times are around an hour on average. If they kept playing, they'd see it goes over 100 hours!!!

With all due respect, this is how you kill a game and alienate fans. Great potential lost here, the fans did voice their concerns but nobody listened, now the critics are speaking, will someone listen now?

I have been here for a long time, I have also been pretty outspoken about my feelings, I have said angry things at times and regret a few of them, but I will speak my mind when I feel the need and people who know me can appreciate my honesty, kissing butts is not my style. I will say those things because I feel them deeply. When RedLynx first announced that Ubisoft acquired them I was scared of what it meant for my beloved franchise, I tried to stay optimistic but ultimately I feared it would mean things like this, I really hoped I was wrong but time did prove me right with Frontier.

As much as I love Trials and always wish the best for the franchise, I really think that Frontier getting high scores from critics would be bad for the franchise, the only thing worse than pulling that kind of crappy move is getting away with it, things need to be set straight and IMO Frontier deserves low scores even if it's "a great game", it can be an opportunity to hold your ground and force that shameful marketing ploy on fans or it can be an opportunity to react to criticism and make things right but people aren't duped by any way you can spin doctor facts about the F2P model used here.

I don't expect my comment to be really well received but you can at least appreciate my integrity, I tell it like I see it.

A succinctly and intelligently voiced opinion, which I completely agree with, unfortunately for Trials...

Would you mind pointing me towards this quote? It seems I cannot find it.

The spinning for parts combine with the wait for upgrades should be enough restriction. The fuel tank is overkill.

Imagine if they didn't let you retry a map without charging additional fuel....

Took me a while to find it too! Its spread over a couple of posts on this page:
    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...w-Forums/page4

    The phrasing:
I recommend that you do NOT change your device clock like that. It will break the game at the moment and can get you banned as well.
Does this glitch happen only when you play around with your device clock? If yes, there's a good chance that we are already aware of it, but extra information never hurts in cases like this.
My point is that if you do play around with the local clock, there can be an automatic punishment.
