Evo because of the physics, although HD did take mad skills.

Maybe Fusion will bring back everybody

I only started playing again last week after a huge year long break, still don't enjoy trials as much as before

I can honestly say I understand what it's like not enjoying the game after grinding it for hours and hours, it just becomes mind numbing even when you know you have what it takes to get the runs.

Even though my WR count is nothing compared to yours

Seriously though, enjoying trials to me is about playing an enjoyable track, at least now anyway

It's the same reason I Love Cod 4 so much, it may be outdated and crapy but I will always have a place in my heart for it!

i feel like that about Far Cry Instincts Predator, very old xbox fps.
Came to 360 in 2005. its basicly a slightly faster paced, open world version of Golden Eye 64 with vehicles and better guns.
Still havent found a next gen shooter that can come even close to it gameplay wise.
Bring back old skool shooters please!

The reason HD looks so crapy to you is because you came from Evo to HD! Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, it does look crap. But if you played it in its heyday, before Evo was announced, you would absolutely love it!

i feel like that about Far Cry Instincts Predator, very old xbox fps.
Came to 360 in 2005. its basicly a slightly faster paced, open world version of Golden Eye 64 with vehicles and better guns.
Still havent found a next gen shooter that can come even close to it gameplay wise.
Bring back old skool shooters please!

There's a remake out on xbla I think, Far Cry Classic - but its a rebuild of the pc version so no feral abilities and it got pretty bad reviews
Loved that game aswell, didnt even have xbox live back then and I'd still spend hours and hours building maps no one would ever play.

On topic, Ive said it a bunch of times but Trials HD had a certain charm that Evo has always been missing for me. It's hard to put your finger on it.
Evo obviously has better graphics, better features and better gameplay for the most part but there was something about that old, dank warehouse that Evo didnt replace imo

I think the reason all the veterans left evo or didnt enjoy it as much is because anyone can get good where as HD was awkward as fudge so it took mad skills. I'm not saying its easy to get WRs but the flow is so much easier to find and keep on evo where as HD i felt like i was just racing to the finish line without even knowing the mad flow the top riders got was there. It was hard to get grip in HD for an average player but evo there is too much grip (sometimes causing tire glitches.)
For me there is no contest Evo is the one and only. I'm not even sure if fusion will top it for me because im not into future/sci-fi stuff or the tricks but of course I will get it and the season pass if only to support redlynx!

-evo being an itteration and not a new experience
-the fact that you less "omg i did it" moments because you already have the skills when back then you didn't, you just have way less things you can achieve making the game less rewarding
