    Is Evo online-only?

My box just lost connection to my network, and Trials is showing that it is only a demo! I cannot reset the router because a large video is uploading. My profile is signed in though.. Does Evo require a connection just to start, despite having the owning profile logged in and on the iriginal box?

Where and with what account did you purchase the game? Did you purchase it on a different Xbox or maybe a different account that's not your own?

If you purchased it on a different Xbox account you cannot play the game offline, only online unless you sign into that account first and then start the game up and switch profiles.

    It's a license thing. It's weird.

If you can't play the full game offline, you are not playing on the console it was originally purchased on. If you are using the account used to purchase the game, you can do a license transfer (google if unfamiliar), allowing you to play offline.
