Some hardcore resistance is what we need.

Couple months ago we were on the brink of world war 3 when Kerry, Nobama & Cameron
had the troops on standby ready to march into Syria in support of the terrorists they claim to be fighting.
We have Vladimir Putin (of all people) and some brave politicians in the UK (George Galloway) to thank that this didnt happen.
it was a major defeat for the warmongering quasi liberal Gangsters and the Neocon nuttjobs.

Thousands of people came to John Kerries OWN HOUSE and protested right in front of the building.
They even managed to smash some windows..
This is the kind of resistance we need a heck of alot more of in my opinion.

Exactly. The Syrian conflict saw HUGE opposition to military intervention in both the US and the UK. Almost nobody believes CNN or Fox news. The sooner people wake up and realize that the government at large doesn't have their best interests at heart, the better off we'll be. Blanket surveillance has been going on for a while. It's just that recently, people start to see it. The problem is that it's completely illegal and directly goes against the 4th Amendment to the Bill of Rights.

Everybody knows these practices are going on for years (if not decades) now. It's not about "having nothing to hide", it's about illegally spying on people. If a hacker would spy and hack a million webcams, people would go crazy about it, but if the government does it, it's ok? I don't get it. Do you really think criminal organizations can't get access to this stuff too, if the gorvernment can? "Real" Hackers are always far ahead of government capabilities. Hell, the goverment is nothing but a criminal organization. I don't think most people see the severity of these practices. It opens up whole new ways of finding houses to rob / blackmail / ...

I know most people only care about things when they happen to them and when it's far too late..but come on...if you see no problem with these things, you are an idiot.

If you're doing something that you don't want other people to see, then you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

I never said I think people that disagree with my opinion are idiots. I respect all opinions and I'm happy to change my own if someone gives me good reasons to. But like I said, I don't think you see the severity of what this can lead to. Technology won't stand still and these practices will just take on a bigger and worse form. Maybe now you don't care, but it will be only a matter of time till they cross a line you too, won't accept.
