I've known about this, but I just wanted to hear some opinions.

I wonder what Microsoft will do with the unreal engine

Personally, I'd really like to see a refurbished gears 2 gameplay, w/ new and old maps.

Anything else kinda ruined the franchise which is my guess as to why it sold.

Not to "focus and move onto new things" like said in the article, imo that is BS


What do you all think?

Yeah gears 2 was my fav. too. a Company named Blacktusk is taking over, and is apparently hinting at a Stealth game, Not exact on that but it seems like it

Judgment pretty much killed any faith I had that Gears would ever be good again. I think Epic washed their hands of the franchise after trying and failing repeatedly to force the players to play the game the way Epic wanted it to be played and MS are clutching at straws trying to recapture the glory of GOW1 on the 360.

I'd love to believe Rod Fergusson and Black Tusk will create something special but just can't see it happening. We have at least a year before we see anything solid so I'll try and keep an open mind and if it does end up looking good maybe it'll give me a reason to consider buying an XB1.

Yeah gears 3 retro spawning noobs and then when they released judgement I literally didn't know what to say so I returned it.

It will be very interesting to see what they have to offer but I'm not jumping the gun especially after how such an awesome serious just crumbled instantly it almost seemed.
