How did you competitive riders start?

Me and x High DEFF x were talking about how we started competitive racing. It's pretty cool, he said he started because of my first place run all the way back in Trials HD on the skill game, "Run of Doom" I started because I saw Redrider686's record on Run of Doom. So what are your stories on how you started?

I started to compete a couple months after the evo release, But back then it was all about multiplayer.. Started singleplayer for real after Jamaicanx convinced me to get a good run on ''the great fire'' so i did and managed to get my first top 15 and after that i started to go ham on the extremes

Im not a massively ranked player, but being competative on Evo all started for me on twitter when i 'trash talked' shifty and cannibals runs on tracks, even though i had HD from day 1.All in the name if fun if course..it wasnt long before we had about a dozen trials guys joining in,which really turned it competative..Bragging rights in tweets were a good laugh, and it will defos continue once Fusion comes out...
You guys not on twitter should jump on,and just follow all Trials riders..Its a good crack...

I started being competitive in Trials all the way back in Trials 2 Second Edition, I randomly got a good rank on the very first track and it felt good, so I just kept trying to improve my times over and over! After getting a WR I just couldn't stop competing against the others for awhile..didn't play much hd, kind of lost interest in the games, played evo competitive the first 2 weeks then stopped, played gold edition for a few days then stopped, saw blaze stream 6 months after gold came out and I wanted to try and beat him...Still trying

Mad Mike NL on Trippin' the Plywood.

Couple hours into HD and wondering if I should've spent my money on something else. Something about this track hooked me. Four hours later, and I'm still trying to clear the tire gap timesaver at the end.

I started playing trials on Gold Edition with the keyboard. I became better and better and met blaze once in mp where I beat him; was a pretty awsome feeling.

I met more of the awsome guys in the Pc-Community, and kept hearing "switch to the controller, its way better than the keyboard, you wont be able to get rly good times with it".

I liked the challenge, became better and better. Still trying to improve though

Probably the same for me (even if it's ninja and not speedrun).

Re: How did you competitive riders start?

Back on HD I almost exclusively played Ninja tracks, was never a beast but got immense satisfaction passing tracks and upping vids of runs I was pleased with. When Evo came out I lost the patience for Ninja...plus the new young riders were killing it and made me feel as though I was wasting my time

When I joined the OTHG all my HD Ninja obsessiveness found a new home. I don't often get impressive times on any track unless there's someone just out of my reach that I KNOW I can catch. Competing with the likes of Skag, Ikes, Booped, Rudemod and Jook ( when he bothered ) pushed me to levels I never knew I could reach..even grabbing WR's on some customs...even beating Connz on a couple
