More and more Im playing with the track editor.
Even though Im not a top track builder I like to think my tracks are decent, I havent stopped learning on how to do things with the editor I find myself more and more maken bogus tracks with random objects with physics and effects just to learn how things work lol. Id like to know if its showing and if anyone has suggestions on how I can improve or what they would like to see more of?
I'll try your tracks out later and give some feedback.
hey, I played your tracks a while back, and they were alright, but I stopped playing them after one track had really bad lighting. It's not a personal go at you, it's just so easy for me and other players to be deterred by such simple, but crucial things. But overall your obstacles aren't bad, and your deco is passable.
Maybe try and do some really small tracks, like 4-5 obstacles, and make them simple and make them hard to pass, maybe lvl 1 for starters. That way you can get feedback on simple obstacles, and you can know where to go from there. And just remember to make everything clear to see, and that that the obstacles are clear to do. Sorry if my writing is all over the place, I'm sick (huge headache etc) and have no clue what I'm writing![]()
Speedrunning lines, I do not care about details in your tracks. If you put down a good line and your background is the desert. I'll try my best and usually when I do I take first, then av8z takes it from me![]()
I agree with this to an extent. Without a decent line any detail you do is undermined. I'll take a line without much detail any day of the week over a gorgeous track that's not fun to play.Originally Posted by ShartRelief
Haven't checked out your stuff before so can't comment on any of it however I can ask that you give us some speed run lines as there are already enough Ninjas as it is and you'll at least be in the running for an RL pick if you produce something interesting.
Thanks for the insight guys I do try to make the best track I can instead of putting out something that doesn't take a lot of thought, like random ramps and boxes and craziness. I have a long way to go and like I've said I'm still learning the editor. But I do take in effect of the driving line first back ground second I've taken baby steps in building and just wanna know if I'm walking forward or backwards I guess. And for the lighting issue it was a bad idea I tried to relate ninjas with the dark that's mainly why I don't build ninja tracks lol thanks for all ur guys input
I'll have a look at your stuff when I have a chance and offer any feedback I can think of. I appreciate the fact that you're trying given the number of folk like dave pigeon man who don't give a #%^#.Originally Posted by IIIIW1CK3DIIII
