Aside from getting them on the spinning wheel? If I'd known I'd need the. For gas refills later on, I wouldn't have used so many for repeat spins.
And you thought you were having a bad day...haha
When you level up you may or may not get some.

just keep spinning the wheel, im sitting at a gas tank of 11 with 175 diamonds in the bank just from that, just takes time.
It appears that without putting cash in, you end up running the same race over and over...hoping to spin the wheel correctly to get your candy or gear or whatever. You miss it, oh well, run the race again and spin....didn't luck out again....run the race again, netting 6 gas credits....all to place your luck in a barrel at the end and spin for your treat.
After level 14, the game has really hit a lame stall point. So, play for 4 minutes, wait a few hours, play another 4 minutes and hope you luck out and hit what you need on the wheel, or...wait another few hours for gas?
Tell me someone actually ok'd this business model? So many people would be just fine with paying up front for the game or even at a certain point....ok, are you tired of waiting? Pay $12 to unlock the full game now! One cost, that's all.
Who wouldn't spend the cash? The concept of nickel and diming your fans is horrid.
I played Angry Birds the other day, didn't get hassled once. They had bird packs and skins available, but if I don't get them....doesn't matter.
I know, they've only sold a few million...wtf do they know?
Ubisoft is really blowing this one....and I'd guarantee that's where these choices are being made.
$5 for 200 gems actually isn't a bad deal, but there's no way of paying with a fake Canada account. Even then, it's just creepy to buy imaginary currency in a game. Much like someone buying an imaginary dress in Second Life....you heard me, creepy
All this coming from a HUGE supporter of Red Lynx games for 5 years or so.
