Could be, but still, I don't see it working for trials. It would mess up the leaderboards and make people release tracks that are not checked properly for bugs because "you can just change it afterwards". You can let people test your tracks before you release them, that should be enough, if you forgot something you are probably going to check your tracks better next time.Originally Posted by soad667
How do you mean? custom objects would still be made with all the stuff from the editor so there shouldn't be a problem.Originally Posted by psycad
True, I was under the impression that we were talking about new models created by the community, like for TF2. But yea i guess custom objects made from objects already available in the game wouldn't be a problem, but selling those (for real currency) is pretty much out of the question, unlike new models you create yourself.Originally Posted by soad667
You guys have some interesting points.
I see most of you don't like the idea but me, I like it a lot. Sharing what you created with others so they can enjoy it too.
I was thinking like the storefront off the forza games. Where you can lock your items you sell, you can sell a certain amount of your items. I see where some of you are coming from, but if you guys don't want the dumb masses using an awesome created item you created then don't put it on the storefront.
In my opinion, this would be an awesome addition to an already awesome game. You don't even have to sell your created items. If it was like somewhat the Forza storefront, you would be able to gift something to someone.

i don't think you can compare it with the forza storefront with this, in forza its just some shiny paint for a car, in evo it would make tracks look more similarOriginally Posted by GanajaD
i wouldn't mind being able to share with friends because this can be usefull
i do like the idea itself but i doubt this can be done w/out it is gettin messed up by something. and as already mentioned, tracks will lose their "uniqueness"^^
but depending on the possibilties of rider and bike customization it would be cool to customize bikes and then "sell" them for in game cash you purchase by gettin medals. (like it is already in Evo)
I love this idea but i don't think redlynx should waste time making a storefront only for objects.
An option to gift a file would be great, for example you have a grouped custom object and when you select it there's also an option to gift it to friends. These friends can then share it too when they received the file.
Maybe a option to lock design like in forza but personally i don't like that.
i accidently voted yes for this, but its a definate bad thing [IMO. (-lol at contradicting myself or whatever the word for saying 'definate' then 'IMO')]. Theres way too many flaws with it and way too many risks with different things and just flaws. Like one little thing to add onto this discussion out of like 5 big things i thought of is if your to buy something what if the person doesnt actualy give you what he says and to solve that there could be a picture of each thing your gonna buy but then you could just copy the thing by looking at it. You could also do this by playing someones track and just stopping to look at the object, or in replays you can pause and and study what someones made, but this would be kindof disrespected or bad i guess. Also, it would decredit the person when someone else might be getting credit for a track they practically didnt even make.. But i definately am for selling/sharing to friends and group building (in group building you could have your custom made objects be available to everyone in your group build session, like theyre able to see the same tab (Saved custom objects -or whatever its called) so that they can be on track with your building). Another thing in this forum: Being able to take tracks away/delete them from TC after upload. Think its good the way it is, people could even keep taking it down and putting it up untill it gets into Top Rated 48hrs. Back to the main topic, I would get pissed off if i saw the same object(s) on different tracks even more than once. Theres many other things as well. Just too many flaws, but 100% for the effort of bettering Fusion GanajaD. But sometimes with a lot of ideas comes ( IMO) bad ones
