Lately, ive been getting a lot pretty good runs only to watch them and see that they break somewhere along the run. I know there was a thread for this already but its been happening a lot more lately. Why? Im just curious?
I think it's just in your head. The number IMO has been always the same.
I saw a 12 minute replay yesterday![]()
And grief got 6:58 on some track and it wasn't viewable
But yeah unicorn broken replays.
The last two runs that i thought were pretty good... cataclyst, by this one dude, clutch and maybzz you have passed it, and now Apollo by maybzz. Both broken replays. Btw i feel like i am being targeted nowadays. I have been getting runs close to 7 minutes lately and they are NEVER viewable. Even when its in the high 6 minutes. I would like an explaination for what constitutes a viewable... and why they break

Based on my limited knowledge of programming. Being that replays are not recorded like a video, but rather a recompiled sequence of code(your controller input).
My guess is the logic error is occurring in some variable in the coding of the bike/rider's physics(similar to a "Tire glitch"). Which then "de-rails" the recorded controller input and causes the break. An indicator of this is that you can see your controller input continue to play through after the break.
#Speculation.
Edit: if this is the case, it would mean that the cause of a broken replay would be unique to each individual instance, not just track. Making it very difficult to fix... Appearently..

[maybe ?]
damn, i guess il just have to deal with it thenOriginally Posted by TBM
I find it happens a lot with lines that contain a physical object, like a moving beam or swing. If it doesn't move in exactly the same manner every time, the replay won't work. I know on one of the main maps, (Train Yard maybe?) the Donkey's rear tire will dig into the same beam while ascending.
