    Re: Freshman in High School

Im 15 and im in "Year 11", the last year of Uniformed schooling.

It's pretty simple really.....im in the 11th year of my schooling life......and if i choose to stay on at school after 11 it can go right up to "Year 14".

Year 12-14 is "Sixth Form" but pretty much is the same as college, but im not doing college....correct me if im wrong but a USA college is completely different to the English college.

The system used in USA is complete bollocks to me.

    My B-day is 6th May 98.

Cant speak for Europe but in England at 5yrs old you start Year 1 - just goes from there til you leave in Y11, couldnt be simpler.
In fact dont you Muricans/Canadians just use the same system but say Grade instead of Year? I should know this stuff after all the Recess I used to watch

No it's different. It's actually different everywhere. Canada and America are very similar but kinda different. I think overall there are 14 years of school here. What with Jk and Sk. If you count those. (Dont knownwhy you wouldn't) so ya... And you are euro.. Lol

    Age Grade
    5-6 Kindergarten
    6-7 1st
    7-8 2nd
    8-9 3rd
    9-10 4th
    10-11 5th
    11-12 6th
    12-13 7th
    13-14 8th
    14-15 9th
    15-16 10th

That's how the US system works. Someone from Europe should make a chart like this too compare.

We dont usually admit it tbh I just meant that our system wont apply to the rest of Europe.

edit: Ours is like that Monstified, if you take out Kindergarten and shift them all up one place (aged 5-6 = Year 1)

This is, of course, not including Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate Degrees. The typical definition of "Schooling" in the United States is K-12, which is Kindergarten through Senior (12th Grade) years.
