now I have this problem on all the medium tracks :/
the time is correct but I just don't have the gold meda
I have the exact same problem.
During the last session I played on monday I got about 10 platinum medals.
All platinum times I got during this session are still there. But the medals are back to what they where before the session (mix of bronze, silver and gold.)
Is there a way to recalculate medals based on leaderboards or can I edit my save file to set them to platinum again?
Just got a reply from ubisoft support.
They won't fix the problem. They can't revert or edit my save. I must go and get the medals again.
Still wondering if i can edit my save game myself without getting banned or something.
Your save file cant affect your leaderboard position or achievements in the game so i dont think they would ban you for editing your save file, if you even knew how that is.Originally Posted by UncleHessie
The alternative is, If you keep practicing, eventually getting platinum medal times wont even be an achievement, in the end all that really matters is your leaderboard time. So i wouldnt worry to much about the color of the medal that your save game has.
True. But the thing is I am currently just getting ready for Fusion. I used to be an Xbox player and was thinking o well lets go play Evo on the PC and platinum as much single player tracks as possible for me. Getting platinum isn't hard for me (Exept for some of the extreme ones) but the problem is i want to get them all and i can't like this.Originally Posted by Vantier
Yesterday I got the platinum medals again and after that i quited the game. Came back 30 mins later and all those medals where gone again. Disabled Uplay Cloud saving and did the tracks again. Closed the game and reopened it and gone again.
My improved times are saved though. So yeah it's not a problem looking at the leaderboards but it is a problem if you are trying to "complete" the game.
I wonder if we get the same problems with Fusion on the PC. Guess it's back to the xbox or ps for Fusion.
and like i said in the end all that matters is your leaderboard times anyway. If you have a platinum time on a track, there is literally 0 value in having the game display a little eblem. Their isnt even an "achievement" for it. So unless you planned on showing off all your platinum medal times to someone in real life, i dont see the point in even wasting your time.Originally Posted by UncleHessie
If the whole world can watch the replay of your platinum time, and you yourself know you have a platinum time, who cares if the game shows the wrong medal?
Like you said, Fusion is just around the corner, and trying to get the game to show your platnum medals isnt "preparing" for anything lol. just focus on improving your times and aiming for higher spots on the leaderboards.
I would say "yeah, redlynx should check that out and try to patch it or something".
But honestly i dont even want them to waste a millisecond more on gold edition support, its FUSION TIME![]()
But if you REALLY wanna try and fix it I will try and assist.
some questions first.
Did you buy on steam or Uplay?
Do your track central tracks/medals save when you relaunch or do they disappear as well?
Are you Exiting the game correctly, "exit game on title screen", and then verifying that Uplay says "Cloud Synchronization Succeeded (or something like that)"
You could try reinstalling trials. if that doesnt work reinstall uplay & steam as well.
If that doesnt work then its probably some recent configuration changes or a virus (doubt it)
I didn't mean getting platinums is preparing. The thing is i didn't touch trials for a few months. So what i was meaning to say i wanted te get the hang of it again.
Since Fusion is around the corner I will not spend to much time climbing the leaderboards to much. (Currently around 600th or something which isn't high I know) That's something I will be trying in FusionGetting all platinum was just something I would like to do. Not for showing off or something.
I also agree that they should focus on Fusion and not on Evo. It's not game breaking at all.
However i fixed (worked around) the problem. Apparently when you disable cloud syncing for save files you have to restart before it has any effect. Since i disabled it and rebooted my medals are saved.
So it is/was a uPlay cloud sync issue and not Evo.
Still don't know what caused this issue though. But who cares
I'll answer your questions for the OP and others that might run into the same problems:
[list:3jhdz02z]- I bought Trials Evo retail and installed it trough Uplay. Also added a link to non-steam games in steam. Sometimes I start from steam and sometimes from uplay itself. Maybe this is something that could have broken the savegame in the cloud although i doubt it.[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
[list:3jhdz02z]- I also lost the medals from track central[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
[list:3jhdz02z]- I did exit the game correct. Went back to the title screen and chose exit game.[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
[list:3jhdz02z]- My configuration didn't change since i last played Trials[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
[list:3jhdz02z]- My firewall and virusscanner didn't change. But they did update ofcourse[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
[list:3jhdz02z]- The virusscanner found no virusses[/list:u:3jhdz02z]
Lastly I would like to thank you for trying to help me![]()
