Speaking of coins... has the suggestion of having coins paid based on speed of completion. It seems that speed of completing a track isn't that important where it should be.

How about equal to gold time is 100% coin allocation (more than 200) but 5% better gets a 5% bonus but 10% better gets a 20% bonus so the reward is exponential as you improve.

No you didn`t. This thread is about having a single payment for unlimited playtime. A feature that isn`t available because they want to have this greedy system that takes advantage of people. It`s worse than putting ads in purchasable content.

I actually did fix it. Do not mistake personal opinions as universal facts. You say it's greedy, I say it's not. Neither of us are wrong.

Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition

It's been a loooooooong time but i had to log in to say some stuff, basically.

Those saying F2P Trials is good because it limits peoples playing time. No it doesn't. You can play this game all day if you're willing to shell out cash. So saying the model is there to prevent overplaying is completely false. The model is there to take as much money as possible. If anybody can logically argue with that then be my guest.

The Wheel of Fortune. Above everything this, for me, ruins the gameplay almost entirely. So I have one "mission" to do and that is getting this little girl her last piece of candy. It costs me 2 fuel tanks of my 8 total to play this track. So that means i can spin the wheel of fortune with the candy on a total of 4 times. The track takes around 30 seconds to complete and in none of these goes do I get lucky on the wheel of fortune and get the candy... this happens the next time as well.
So, that is 2 minutes worth of playtime twice in a row where nothing has been achieved and i have not enjoyed playing. 2 minutes! How can RL limit people to 2 minutes of playtime? The wheel of fortune is not a good idea. In fact, it's awful. Trials has always been a game of skill... but now it's a game of how much you are willing to spend and how lucky you are on the wheel of fortune. And whether by design or not, i do seem to be incredibly unlucky on the wheel of fortune. If i was a person who paid for gems, being unlucky on the wheel of fortune would mean I'd fork money out for more gems.

I also had to replay a track (The Cave?) which is 11 seconds long several times to get lucky on the wheel of fortune as well. This track can be completed by just pressing accelerate and not shifting position. So i watched TV and kept my finger on the screen without having to look over several runs of the track, waiting to get lucky on the wheel of fortune. Is that what Trials should be about? No. Did i enjoy my time doing that? No.

Whether the game changes or not before the final release I'm disappointed (kindest word i could find) RL or Ubisoft or whoever is responsible for this debacle ever thought it was a good idea to release the game as it currently stands.

A dev surely wants to make money AND feel appreciation from players. Games are a form of art imo. But Trials Frontier is not art, it's a big mooing cash cow. Most aspects of the game (upgrades, wheel of fortune, fuel tanks, gems, waiting time for upgrades...) have been put there only to make money. In fact, I can't think of one thing that has been changed from previous Trials games that isn't there simply to milk money from whales, screw the players. Please correct me on that if there is one positive change you can think of that isn't purely motivated by desire for cash from whoever makes the big decisions about these things.

And now to a suggestion then as Antikki wants positive suggestions. Ditch the wheel of fortune, ditch the fuel tanks, ditch the gems, keep the coins and coins can be used for upgrades on the bike. I dislike the upgrading system but it's a big part of the game so you can't get rid of it now. Release the game as a demo (you know, like companies used to do before everything went daft) and put a price on it. If people enjoy it then they'll buy it. Is that such a wacky idea?

Sorry for the long post but this game is everything I hate about mobile gaming, and much much more.

PS. Some advice for you folks. Play Wordament. It's free, addictive and you never tire of it. It will only bring you joy, never frustration

    A big trophy for ben1bob!

I don't get it why RedLynx made a spin-off version of Trials on a mobile platform. It could've got much more excitement if they did the same gameplay concept like the trials games on PC and Xbox 360. This story stuff is just doing little objectives and can be cut out, because any story mode doesn't match with Trials.

To have that power you'll need to spend at least 600$, but most Smartphone games are still lazy cartoonish, because they want their games to be played on every smartphone, even the 100$ ones.

+1, superb suggestion but will never be done

+1, completely agree with everything you have said, but then it looks like many of the hardcore trials fans do too.

You could use something like this for iOS, or something like this for Android.

There are quite a few games that look much better than some of the titles available on the last generation of consoles. A lot of games can be played, and look pretty good, on the Ouya, which isn't all that expensive. Here are a few games that have pretty good visuals and run on the "average" mobile gaming device.

Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition

I don't recall paying for "extra birds" on Angry Birds? That game sold a couple of units...I think, but am not sure.
Much like XBL, have a demo, then pay to unlock the game. Release new content, charge for it...the end.
I recall the XBONE press conference about DRM...the response was similar. A good question to ask yourselves Red Lynx is:
Who would ever want to continually pay for gas in a driving game?

If you're honest about the answer, you won't be able to find one.

The graphics looks great on an iPad, but I wouldn't pay $20 and $40 for gas....it's not greedy, it's simply a higher up making a "brilliant" move....much like the XBONE with their DRM and "alway on". Those went over so well, their sales were garbage compared to the ps4, so they wisely back pedaled. Then pawned it off on "listening to the fans". More like, getting their tales handed to them.

Last one...Don't be a Microsoft with their Kinect being your "in game gas". Give gamers a choice to buy it and make it free to play with ads....real simple.
Angry Birds sold how many million....maybe they know a bit here.
