Re: Trials Frontier- Unlimited Gas Petition

I haven't played this game and most likely never will, but one thing that I find really unusual is the waiting time to upgrade your bike. That honestly shouldn't be in the game.

I hate the fact that we have to wait for gas. It really turns me away from the game. I would rather buy unlimited gas for $20. As for gems and upgrades I don't mind that at all.

Agreed. Gems and coins come from playing. Gas comes from waiting.

Making gas unlimited would throw a wrench into the gears of the F2P approach because it would nearly nullify the option to purchase many coins and gems at once. But I feel as if with an adjustment of the in game economy it could be made possible to compensate for all player types.

Why isn't gas like hearts in candy crush? Sure sounds like it.....If thats the case, let friends give you fuel, same as candy crush.

I'm beginning to look into mobile games, and it seems they like to make you WAIT! wtf? Why do developers think that I'll spend money so I don't have to wait? Guess what? I won't I'll get bored, and then find a NEW game to play, then they get $0. Why not get people addicted to your game, and then they will be willing to pay for it (if they insist on a microtransaction model vs pay once price).

ie Candy crush. I don't have to wait for anything as my friends send hearts, and I can save the messages to use when I want. Hence I don't get bored of the game and I like it. So guess what? I buy the boosters once in awhile and give the devs some money. King.com do it right, look at their model.

Fuel should be like Candy Crush hearts.

Personally, I like the pay one price upfront.

F2P is the more profitable model and having a "pay once, play forever" version would seriously hurt sales. It matters not if you're "hardcore" or an "enthusiast", these games are meant to be played in bursts and it's silly to demand developers to change that.

The targeted audience is "casual". If you feel you're not happy about the game, no one is forcing you to play it. You're not "missing out on a Trials game" since we already established that you're not satisfied and therefore should not play the game.
This is completely fallacious. You outline some 'choices' we have, which are limited to polar opposites of a spectrum of opportunities. This forum is here for us to give feedback on a game which is part of a franchise we all dedicate enormous amounts of time and effort into. As such, we are providing feedback in an attempt to go beyond either coping with the current model, or forsaking the game entirely. Attempting to remove this as a valid enterprise is wrong.

To be honest, I am not wholly acquainted with mobile games. However, is it not unreasonable for mobile games to vary in their approach to the F2P model, and not be confined to strict playstyle limitations? Once again, as a soft release, we are providing feedback in an attempt to make the game more enjoyable for the people posting the feedback. Dissatisfaction at this point should not be met with, 'tough luck bro, gtfo', because, like it or not, this IS a trials game representing the aforementioned franchise. We want to play this game. We want it to be the best it can be. Currently there are mechanics in place that prevent enjoyment of the game, in my case, almost completely. Dismissing feedback as you have on the premise of knowledge about general mobile games, and a hatred thereof, is wrong and detrimental to the development process.

oh, and i support some form of playing more, whether or not it comes from unlimited gas.

as it stands, the game is unplayable for me: any enjoyment derived from good gameplay is overshadowed fully by the horrendous gas mechanic. i'm only partially through tier two, and i'm thoroughly frustrated about the impeded progression, with the only partial fix being forking out unreasonable amounts of cash - something needs to be changed

i would say any f2p game where you can skip wait times with cash is bad
the devs just added wait times to grab your money and nothing else
they messed with the flow to make more money
