YouTube Copyrights
Hey guys, just letting everyone know that today I had 15 copyright notices in my videos today and I had to get then all sorted out. If you post YouTube videos there is a good chance that this happened to you as well seeing as YouTube is attacking everyone right now.
I know for a fact that people like Morfyboy, DannersMac, Vladii have all used music in their videos. Like I have.
To know if you have any of these C Claims, go to your video manager, and if you have something on the left side that says "Copyright notices" then you need to fix them. To fix them, all you need to do is go to "Edit", then Audio, scroll down until you see where it says the copyrighted songs and then remove the song. This will fix the issue. You must do this to all of then. So I hope this helped and saved your channel.
Note if you'd rather not have the video up at all because you really needed the music in your vids then just private the video. It's all you can do.

Re: YouTube Copyrights
I have never had to remove any songs. Mine always say "Matched Third Party Content" and I just click acknowledge. Sometimes they throw an ad in, sometimes they don't.
Did you monetize your channel or partner or something?
Some music gets automatically removed but this rarely (twice) happens to me (i.e. any Warner Bros. music, like Avenged Sevenfold).

No I didn't monetize it. The problem with what they're doing is that they are letting a computer do this and not actual people and that is causing false claims.

Re: YouTube Copyrights
Well of course they have a system that checks. They probably have millions of videos uploaded daily that contain copyright material making it impossible to check every one.
Either way, you shouldn't have to remove the songs. Can you take a screenshot and send me what it looks like on your screen? I'm interested to see if its different than mine.

I've already sorted out the problem so I can't show you unfortunately. If you're really interested go to this channel seeing as he had the same problems I had.

Re: YouTube Copyrights
Yea I did notice it in Video Manager and it is just simply the song getting flagged. I imagine its not too big of a problem except for, 1: Sometimes that restricts the video from being viewed in a certain country / on a certain device, and 2: If you do it enough you'll probably be warned over it. I may still use songs occasionally but I'm gonna make sure I use obscure enough ones so it doesn't get flagged
've noticed the lesser-well known songs I've used haven't shown up.)
Another -1 to the ongoing war Google has against making its own product worse by the month.

I have noticed since the YouTube app has been updated on the phone I can now watch all my videos that were previously blocked.
