    Update:
For some reason my firewall was causing the problem (online armor free). I don't know how an ubisoft update can affect the firewall or if this 'not loading problem' was different than the two I had before. But it's happened 3 times after a uplay update, that can't be a coincidence in my opinion. The 'program guard' option (don't know the exact name in english) was turned off, when I turned it back on again the game seems to load without any problems.
I'm really happy that this has been solved.

Re: Uplay Update breaks the game

Hi, I' and my friends got the same problems on Trials Evolution: Gold Ediotion on steam/Uplay. We can not make an online multiplayer game we can invite each others but nothing happened, we see that we are in the same party on uplay overlay, but we dont see each others inside the game multiplayer menu. we are alone in our groups... I will try to reinstall the game but I guess it will be the same.

We used to play online with no problem but it was a long time we did not play, launch game, uplay updates, and then we can't play together.

We also have a message when we come into the multiplayer online menu "Steam got disconnected" or something like that...

I seem to be having this problem too, (and a bucket load of other people that have been swept away in the current of the bugs this game seems to have al ot of, according to my short search through the internet) But there really isn't any firewall or anything else for that matter that would get in the way of the game running though.

The game kinda seems to be running, but it hasn't opened a application or window just seems to be sitting there as a process, I press play from steam and it opens up U-play, and the trials process starts, but that's about it, it doesn't actually do anything.
If i force-quit the process, U-play gets a pop-up with the message it normally shows after you've quit a game normally. If I shut down the U-play processes, then steam gives me the block of new releases and the sort you get after quitting a game naturally with that. (Well, most of the time)

Had the same problem, after seeing your post I added the whole "\Program Files (x86)\Steam" to exceptions in my firewall and the problem disappeared. Thanks, dude

I tought that too at first, until I tried the clean boot. Try it and start the game from there. If it starts it's probably your firewall, like it was in my case.
