Uplay Update breaks the game | Forums

This is the second time for me Uplay updates and trials won't launch anymore. Is this becoming a trend? It's loaded in taskmanager (TrialsFMX.exe) but nothing happens. Others have had the same issue aswel in the past (altough I don't know if it was after an update). Is it too much to ask that I can play a game I bought whenever I want it? Regardless of crappy uplay updates?! Last time I had to completely reinstall my pc for trials to work again. I won't be doing it again since it's maybe one month ago I had to do this, so i'm not going to spend another couple of hours to try to fix it, I don't have the time nor the motivation to do this anymore. Please get a fix out for this

Wel...fixes seem only temporarily.

Few days ago trackcentral loading time was like 10sec. its now back to 2min.
Leaderboard loading time also way to long.
And double screens also happens to me now.
like when i choose NEW TRIALS, i got to choose again NEW TRIALS once im in the menu.
And when i download a track, i get back to NEW TRIALS option, but the track is downloading.
This game miss the love from xbox360 and fusion, even live stream is on xbox360.

maybe as a compesation, we all should get trials fusion for free.

Bassline, remove the config file from the Trials folders. That fixed this issue for me.

I know I said I wouldn't try anything. But I already tried that, with reinstalling uplay/trials...maybe I'll try reinstalling steam too but nothing seems to help and I'm getting sick of wasting my time with all these random problems. Also tried steam beta in hope of something but still nothing. Just sended an email to support, not that it's going to help anything. It's ridiculous, several people have had this problem over maybe more then a month time and we have still no information whatsoever of something we can do to fix it. I can't keep trying all the small things that can "maybe" fix it every single time something goes wrong with this game and I'm not willing to reinstall windows again. If I don't get a fix for this, so be it

Not sure about you guys, but when I try and watch a replay and I try and press the Enter button to exit it, and it just doesn't exit. Broken!

I agree, I'm even seriously thinking about buyin my first console ever next year just because all of these pc games where I have to waste my time to get them to work are giving me headaches. It's ridiculous how bad the pc releases are nowadays.

I had that idea aswel, but i don't want a console to buy only 1 or 2 games. Would be ridiculous if you ask me.

I dont think trials gold would ever be fixed, else they would already.
The game is to full of bugs and errors.
i gave up hope on gold, i just play until fusion is out.

Saw Uplay updating today, i thought maybe things are ok now, if the update affected Trials in some way. Well, it did, but seems like a new standard, sadly low.

You can say i'm disappointed officially. Crashes while loading customs came back (actually they never left, it's just it worked ok for a couple of days and i thought it got fixed) and now it can happen even on the first one. A buddy made fun of my patience, taking ages in track central to download a bunch of tracks, only to crash later when i try to run the first or the second if i'm lucky.

EDIT: If it was another game, i would probably give up a lot earlier. But i love Trials so much and people keep releasing great tracks, so i don't feel like giving up on them, even if that means i have to pass between Scylla and Charybdis to play them.
