I'm not even getting the PS4 but I must admit, this video alone makes me want to buy one. I was laughing my *** off the whole time and it looks like something I would actually try with friends.
Shuhei Yoshida was using it as a facecam during his launch night stream as well. They've also demoed some eye-tracking tech with it that could be used for aiming a gun in a game for example. And I forget the studios name, but they're pretty well known and have been hired to do dlc for the "playroom".
Tbh, it does seem like the PS camera and kinect could end up being very interesting over the coming months and years. Even though I've always been sceptical, both companies are working on some intriguing stuff, as well as other people implementing the tech in other projects. Someone used one of the cameras recently for something non-gaming related, simply because the tech in them is so effective now.
