No I want both consoles. I havent been able to source an XB1 as yet, but I assure you, as soon as I find one, I'll be buying it. I'm on a waiting list for one, but stock seems short on both consoles, so I'm not holding my breath for this month.

Both consoles have strengths and weaknesses, but until fairly recently there was muddled info on them. Now everything is more finallised its become clear to me IMO that both consoles will be awesome. Previously I was pro PS4, but as I say, more info has come out, MS have changed certain strategies and now both consoles are very enticing.

Yeah, I was extremely pro PS4 a couple of months ago, but I'm happy to see the changes and admit that its almost impossible to choose based on the hardware now. I always hoped the decision was going to be really hard because as gamers, we need that competition to drive the consoles on over the next few years. So I openly admit to having my mind changed as more info has come out. People who speak to me regularly will tell you (if they kep count!) of how many 180's Ive done in the last month or so! LOL

To be clear though, my whole point isnt just Pro Sony with regards to the 0.4%. I consider that to be a high standard of manufacturing which is why I hope MS achieve the same (or better). As NO manufacturing process is 100% perfect. But I may have jumped down peoples throats in the manner I tried to explain that. So apologies if I offended people with my manner.

Edit: Although that said, I will just toss in a "Bite me Shifty" at the end here.

I'm torn Euan! Amazon and Game do/did as well, but I'm really hoping a small local computer store may be able to get me one before then 'm on a waiting list). So I just dont know where to put my money, literally and metaphorically! LOL

Do I guarantee pre-xmas, or try for early december? #FirstWorldProblems

Edit: ah ha! No deposit required! Pre-ordered on the basis I can alwasy cancel it if I get really lucky locally! Cheers Euan!

This whole thing is a non issue. There are always faulty production units and there will be for the XB one as well. People like to blow things out of proportion and and sensationalise things to stir the pot. There is never 100% success is manufacturing even under the best of conditions. IGN are one of the worst offenders when it comes to drumming up sensationalist articles to generate traffic.

Yes it is news, its about 8 hours until most people get the console, and there have been numerous complaints about the same issue.

Considering the consoles out in the wild pre-release were mainly in the hands of journalists etc it probably would've been a good idea to have playtested them a little bit before despatch
