    PS4 Hardware faulty

    http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/11/1...tion-4-systems

Apparently people who got it early have hardware issues involving a flashing blue light when attempting to start up the console.

Kids, that's why you should never pre-order anything!

While this is true, it still isn't an excuse for companies to release a faulty product. The ones given to the press were broken and the few that got it early from retailers also reported failures.
Kinda worring IMO considering the console isn't officially out.

Sucks, but...... How does that Sony Kool-aid taste now?

    Don't mind me. Just trollin'.

I wouldn't worry too much if last gen was anything to go by. Some faulty pieces of equipment at launch and then it was fine for the rest of the gen.
    I'd expect similar things now.

    Here's today's lesson kids:

Always pay the extra few bucks for a warranty and protection plan.

Anyone who has a console this close to launch will still be under warranty. It's knowing that you won't get a replacement for a few days/weeks that's a bit annoying.

NEVER get that worthless protection plan. I got burned out of 1800 bucks (the plan was 400, TV was 1400) like 5 years ago. Apparently I bought a big screen TV before "the screen was protected under the plan." I haven't given a cent to best buy since...

As for this fiasco that is about to unfold, it really sucks. Glad I havnt pre-ordered anything. If this is how its going to be, you all should do what I did. I busted out my SNES....

Well jook it isn't like that for everyone. I bought my TV close to 3 years ago for about $3000. The extended 3 year warranty was $300. The TV stopped working about a month ago and I got it fixed for free. If not, who knows how much it would have cost to fix or buy a new tv.

FYI: bought it at HH Gregg

I only buy warranties for really expensive electronics, not for games and misc stuff.

I think both consoles evenly suck...
